Deanna Bowman is a writer for the Special Operations Association of America based in Washington D.C. She writes social media posts, blogs, letters to Congress, reports, grants, and more to support and advocate for special operators and their families, including Green Berets, Navy SEALs, Marine Raiders, Army Rangers, and others.

Deanna also does contract work for a new nonprofit organization that aims to support veterans and their families through canine and equine therapy and other means. Prior to this, she worked for 11 years at Indiana Wesleyan University in various positions and ended up as a Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives.

Deann is very active in her church, where for the past 14 years she has been a worship leader. 

Deanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish from Indiana Wesleyan University, which she earned in 2010.

Deanna is married to Evan Bowman, a farmer, and they have two cats. They reside in Wabash, IN.

Becky Fields taught English at Covenant Christian High School from 1995 to 2008, worked for the Teachers Retirement Fund for a year, and then taught at Heritage Christian Schools. Becky was also an adjunct professor at the University of Indianapolis and an education consultant at Greenwood Christian Academy. 

Becky holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education with a major in English and a minor in Psychology, and a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from the University of Indianapolis.

Becky is happily married to Jeff, and they have three sons who graduated from Covenant.

Pastor Damon Howell loves Jesus and serves Him as the Equipping Pastor at The Blended Church in Indianapolis. Damon has a degree in Biology from Wabash College, where he later worked as the Sr. Assistant Director of Admissions from 1998 to 2008.  Damon is married to Terri, and they have two daughters, Sierra and Kaya. He and Terri are also grandparents to Malachi.

Amanda and Justin discovered the positive impact of Christian education on the lives of students through their involvement with Covenant. Amanda's grandmother was her only consistent Christian influence growing up; however, she didn't come to faith until she was 25. Justin's family required him to attend church when he was younger, but he didn't make his faith his own until later in life.  After coming to faith through different routes, Justin and Amanda also found one another through their mutual affinity for coaching young men and women in football and basketball. 

Amanda graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Secondary Math Education, and she later earned a master's degree in Secondary Education. She joined Covenant in 2017 after teaching at several other schools.

Justin graduated from Indiana University Purdue University Columbus, where he earned a BA in General Studies. He currently works at Lowe's as a Pro-Specialist.

Jason Dawson has an extensive professional background, having worked in various roles in the healthcare industry. He is currently a co-owner of Avalon Alliance Homecare, LLC since February 2023. Before that, he worked as a Project Coordinator at Eskenazi Health from 2019 to February 2023, and as the Vice President of Client Services at Home Instead Senior Care from 2018 to 2019. Before that, he held multiple roles for At Home Health Services, LLC from 2011 to 2018, including Human Resources Manager, Director of Quality Assurance, and Scheduling Manager.

Jason received his BA in Human Resources Management with a focus on Personnel Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He also holds a degree in Physical Therapy from Oakwood University.

Jason is married to Shawna Loy-Dawson, and they have two children Milan Loy-Dawson and Cameron Loy-Dawson.

Jared is a part of the team at Care to Change. His work combines the use of cognitive and behavioral strategies and deep faith in God’s healing power to help empower young people who struggle with anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal ideations, and addictions. Jared is trained in EMDR (or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy.  He enjoys opportunities to share God’s healing by serving the community and educating others about mental health. Jared earned a Bachelor of Science in brain and behavioral sciences at Purdue University and a master’s in mental health counseling from the University of Indianapolis.

Dr. Mark Dobbs, Psy.D., HSPP,  is a Clinical Psychologist and the Founder/Executive Director of IndyPsych since 1995.  Dr. Dobbs graduated from the Rosemead School of Psychology, Biola University. He founded the Indianapolis Christian Psychological Services and has taught as an adjunct professor in the Masters in Counseling program at Indiana Wesleyan University, as well as with the  TCMI Institute in Vienna, Austria, which is an Evangelical seminary founded by TCM International. Dr. Dobbs also serves as an elder at Chapel Rock Christian Church and has served as a trustee for Covenant Christian High School in Indianapolis, IN. Mark has been married to Cheryl for over 40 years. Their daughter, Amy, graduated from Covenant Christian High School in 2009.

Abbie (Roberts) Gottfried graduated from Covenant Christian High School in 2007. She later earned her BA in English and Spanish from King University in 2011. Since then, she worked as a Children’s Book Editor at Eerdmans Books for Young Readers in 2011 and taught Upper School English at Orangewood Christian School in Orlando, FL from 2013-2018. She also briefly taught at Grace Christian Academy in Tennessee. Currently, she is a High School English teacher at Berean Christian School in Knoxville, TN since 2022. One of Abbie's deepest passions is to see the story of the Gospel unfold within the stories she reads with her students. In her free time, she enjoys being outdoors, reading, singing, and spending time with her family.

Abbie has been married to Alex Gottfried since 2015, and they are raising two sons, and their twin daughters are waiting for them in Heaven.
