The U.S. Postal Service says it lost $2.2 billion in the second quarter as the agency continued to be hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic. Package deliveries to homebound Americans were up more than 50%, but that was offset by continued declines in first-class and business mail. The Postal Service is reeling from mail delays and financial problems at a time when record numbers of mail ballots are expected in the November presidential election because of the coronavirus pandemic.
