Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings said its net income ticked up 1.2% when it reported second-quarter earnings July 22. The truckload carrier’s profit came in at just more than $80 million compared to just more than $79 million in the second quarter of 2019. Revenue, however, was down more than 14% to $1.06 billion compared to $1.24 billion. The company said the COVID-19 pandemic created unprecedented challenges, but credited its operational discipline, agility and cost-control culture for enabling it to navigate the crisis.
