A bill designed to facilitate access to parking for commercial vehicles recently was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives. The Truck Parking Safety Improvement Act aims to mitigate a shortage of available parking nationwide. The bill was introduced by Illinois Republican Mike Bost, a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee. The legislation is expected to be considered during the House transportation panel’s debate of a multiyear highway policy measure.
