The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has again extended its emergency declaration relaxing hours-of-service rules for motor carriers that are providing direct support for coronavirus-related relief efforts. The agency announced that the declaration, which applies to all 50 states and the District of Columbia, will remain in effect through June 14th. The initial emergency declaration, issued March 13th, was previously extended through May 15th. It granted exemption from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations that cover hours of service, parts and accessories needed for safe operation, and longer combination vehicles.
