This movie wants us to believe it's about the Tragedies of Homophobia but weeeeeeee're not so sure. There's about half a dozen movies it could've been to sort through first.

Yeah, that's right. The last episode of Pride Month is The Gay Cowboy Movie. The meme that died and rotted in its grave more than a decade ago. It uh....well, it's a film. It's a pretty accurate portrayal of Wyoming, even, despite mostly filming in Canada. Vrai's a pretty good authority on that point.

There was no way we could pass over the first and biggest work about AIDS -- a work of art that's also damned funny in the midst of the bleakness.

Two couples face crises: Prior tells his boyfriend about his recent AIDS diagnosis, while Mormon Joe struggles within a failing marriage and ever more transparent closet. As both relationships break apart, the world goes on turning, and Prior is visited by the supposed Angel of America, who tells him he is a prophet.

Which makes no sense. Who wouldn't want a TV movie that somehow snuck its way into a theatrical release, where poor Michael J Fox is only kind of playing Greg Universe and definitely did not smooch his hot mess of a sister. At all. No sir. This is a very marketable script.

A gentleman thief visit the Duchy of Miyazakiland to steal the secret of counterfeited bills, but winds up rescuing a girl instead. There's always a girl. Shenanigans ensue. Vrai has a history lesson on Lupin in the US and is also in danger of feeling an emotion, Dorothy remembers the way we was, and you bet this isn't the last time we're talking about this franchise.
