Episode Description
Mirror Neurons are one of the main parts of our brain that helps us with learning, cognition, empathy, and relationships. Mirror neurons are what help us respond to and learn from our caretakers as children and learn behavior through imitation, and they are involved in the development of our inner child. Understanding how mirror neurons impact these functions, as well as our childhood development and interactions with others, can help us understand what went wrong if we experienced traumatic events or abuse. Understanding what went wrong, we can also learn strategies to use our mirror neurons to heal our trauma through the body, brain, and neural network at its source. This episode explains these processes and gives you strategies for healing mirror neurons as well as an exercise to heal your inner child.

Description:
If you were raised in a family where people were narcissists or had high narcissistic traits, understanding the roles and relationship dynamics in a narcissistic family can help you understand your trauma and protect yourself now. When we say narcissistic family, this doesn't mean everyone is in the family has high narcissistic traits, but it means that one or more people does, either children, parents, or both, and this deeply impacts all family members.
We discuss the roles children play in this family dynamic. Then we discuss narcissistic family dynamics in general and the unwritten rules and behaviors in this family structure. Lastly, we cover when a sibling has these traits and how this can impact others in the family and when a parent has narcissistic traits and how this impacts the family. While it isn't healthy to obsess over the narcissist, understanding these family dynamics, you can learn more about why you are the way you are, know it isn't your fault, love all people in your family in the best way possible, and start the healing process to set healthy boundaries and protect yourself. You can live the life God intended, because you are empowered and educated on this family dynamic.

Episode Description
Even if we know it intellectually not to be true, trauma, abuse, and neglect survivors internalize blame when they are mistreated, particularly those who suffer from childhood abuses and narcissistic abuses. Knowing the difference between blame and self-validation, finding the balance between knowing what happened to you and taking ownership of healing, and finding the line between self-compassion and victim mindsets can make all the difference in your healing journey. It's important to know that two things can be true at once:

Description:
An HSP, or Highly Sensitive Person, is a person who has been proven by science to respond to the world differently. You may be more sensitive to light, sound, stimuli, people, and the emotions of others. Being an HSP comes with a unique set of gifts and challenges. While you are more attuned to the beauty around you, you may also be more aware of the dangers. In this talk, we cover how HSP's are wired, the science behind HSPs, how you can protect yourself as an HSP, and how you can care for yourself as a Christian HSP so you can share your gifts, love and help others, protect yourself, and do the healing work, at the same time. We cover twenty-one strategies to protect yourself through boundary setting, self-care practices, and protecting yourself as a Christian HSP in particular. God made you how you are because He wanted you exactly as you are, and you have a right to protect yourself as an HSP so you can live a happy and productive life.

Episode Description
Why The Pursuit of Peace and Acceptance Is Everything discusses the nature pursuing of peace and acceptance, what it looks like through a beloved character, Winnie the Pooh, and how we can practice this simplicity and acceptance on our healing journey like Pooh, to help overcome trauma with more flow, ease, and simplicity. Overcoming trauma isn't easy, and sometimes life can be difficult, but we don't have to struggle against it. This adds to suffering, whereas acceptance and nonresistance bring peace. Then we discuss the wisdom of Ecclesiastes and how pursuing peace, acceptance, and simplicity are biblical concepts that can help us overcome trauma, struggle, and complicating situations. By pursuing peace, simplicity, and acceptance, we give ourselves a better foundation for effective trauma healing, and we live a more enjoyable life free of struggle and striving as God intended.

Episode Description
If you have experienced trauma, these experiences get stored in your body's memory, literally on a physical or somatic level. This unreleased trauma manifests in our emotions, behaviors, and health since it hasn't been resolved or released, and we pay a price. However, there is hope. We are not stuck with trauma. God has given us modern techniques to help us release trauma from the body. In Therapies and Practices to Release Trauma from the Body, we discuss how trauma gets trapped in the body based and it's impact on the brain, neural network, and our health. We then review practices you can use to release trauma somatically from the body to help you heal complex trauma, going more in-depth on how trauma releases from the body from a physiological standpoint. Lastly, we discuss therapies that can help us release trauma from the body, including using biofeedback to monitor physical responses as we release trauma and do healing work. God has given us tools to help us release trauma we never asked for, and there is hope to live the life God meant for us to live.

Episode Description
In Coming out of the F.O.G., we discuss the acronym, Fear, Obligation, and Guilt, which creates the acronym F.O.G. Much like the word "fog," emotional manipulators will often use fear, obligation, and guilt to confuse and control people, particularly those who are sensitive, compassionate, empathetic, and may be prone to codependency. This can make sensitive Christians especially vulnerable, since they tend have a strong level of conscientiousness. Manipulators like to use tactics that will make others question themselves and their motives, often using gaslighting to keep the other person off balance. Though we are called by God to help others, it's important we examine our motives. If others are exploiting our good will with guilt to get us to do things, this is not from God. Knowing the strategies that emotional blackmailers use will help you to identify their tactics, respond constructively, protect yourself, and get your life back, so you can live the life God intended you to live. You can be free of these tactics and help others knowing your motives come from genuine love and care for others.

Episode Description
This week, this episode reminds you of your worth, both in Christ and your intrinsic worth. Your value comes from both the fact that you are in Christ and that you are you. Sometimes we need to be reminded that we are worthy, that we have unconditional value at our core, and that nothing that has happened to us or that we feel changes that. We may have been programmed with trauma, but our worth and core identity is still the same. Just as God and His love for us don't change, neither does our worthiness. We matter, we are loved, and God loves us, and sometimes we just need to remember this.

Episode Description
In Subtle Types and Forms of Abuse and What to Do About Them, we discuss the hidden nature of certain types and forms of abuse and why these forms of abuse often go unnoticed, why the survivor doesn't always believe it is abuse, and how certain people use these forms sow doubt and confusion in the survivor as a form of control and manipulation. The unique nature of this kind of abuse is often unnoticed or not believed by outsiders. However, by learning to identify and understand these forms of abuse, we are able to understand what is happening to us if we are in a situation with hidden and subtle abuse, while distinguishing between abuse and normal human flaws in a relationship that we all have. When we can identify these forms of abuse and call them by their name, we can validate our experiences, know our experiences are real, seek help and resources that can help us untangle this confusion, and get our lives back so we can find clarity and safety in our lives, living the life God intended us to live.
