Garrett Crowe wrote: So Marc, I've been doing three podcasts. One is radio drama style actual play of a four year long Star Wars RPG campaign, one a celebration of various games I love with local specialists in each game providing news and advice, but mostly geeking out over the games... and the last being the live play vidcast of the Middle Earth game. The first two have remained at about 300 hits per episode, but I know these numbers can get higher. What's an effective podcast marketing plan I should adopt?
I release teaser promos complete with original artwork posters for each episode at appropriate facebook groups, enworld forums, google communities. Other gaming podcasts seem to take a spam the hell out of all gaming groups on the net, and that seems counter productive. What resources should I study to form a marketing plan.
I really want to make strides with this so I can establish myself as a professional game designer, in demand for projects and known by the industry.

My husband and I still trying to start a family. We're not there yet, so maybe this question is premature, but I'm starting to seriously look at work pay vs. daycare. My original plan was to be a stay-at-home artist and mom. Neither are working out right now (to the level of being a self-sustaining artist), and I picked up a job while I get my art off the ground.
My question is: How do you balance infants and a home job?
I know you do it, but I don't remember the specifics if you mentioned them. I remember, though, you doing it for awhile and now Kenzie seems to be in daycare, but Inara is now home with you. I didn't know if it was possible to get enough content out while being a full time parent too. It probably helps that you are already established as a musician with a following. :)
This all came about while looking at the price of daycare and seeing that it isn't much under my paycheck. So it seems possible to do better if I could bring in an income from home.

I had a wee lesson today from my five month old daughter about success. It started by watching her trying to crawl. She has developed upper body strength to lift herself up, but she hasn't figured out how to use her legs to move forward. Instead, she pushes backwards. Then she gets terribly upset.
Isn't that a good life lesson?
How often have you found yourself getting upset by failures as you try to go forward and only fall further back? It's frustrating. But you and I both know that one day she will learn to crawl. Then she'll learn to walk. And finally run. It will take a long time. But if you keep trying, you will see success.

Emerald Accent Irish Music was founded in the spring of 2010 for the enhancement of the Celtic cultures through music in South Mississippi. Emerald Accent includes members Clark Lowery (vocals, guitar, banjo), Gail Fox (fiddle), Tom McCandlish (bodhran, vocals). With backgrounds in Irish, Bluegrass, Blues and Classical, the band brings freshness to the genre while priding itself in the Irish traditional style. The band loves working as a ceili band while also producing soothing slow jigs and waltzes. They have played for dances, concerts, pubs, and receptions and stand as the performing band with the Jackson Irish Dancers all across the Southern United States. Emerald Accent is a well-rounded band for those who enjoy Irish and Scottish music. The band has produced two CD's, "Laurel Green" and their latest 2015 release "For Love of Scotland."

The bass-player, Marcus, and the singer/guitar-player Martin had a band called STAINLESS BONES, which kind of broke apart in 2011. The two attended a POGUES-concert in August 2012, wanting to see Shane for at least one time before he kicked the bucket. Afterwards the sang (or maybe: growled) Irish Folk in the underground on their way home. As they got off the train, a guy approached them asking: You guys make music? Thus they met their new accordion-player, Egidio. He had attended the same concert and rode the same train. The three of them exchanged numbers and decided to focus on Irish Folk which they all liked. Eventually they managed to play some small gigs in Berlin. On a gig in January 2013 they found out that their friend René, had played punk drums years ago. The Rathmines were born.
Personal Fact: We are named after a nice district in Dublin where their accordion player used to live for a while.

Big changes are coming to The Celtfather podcast. I can no longer publish the show on Monday mornings like I've been doing, more or less, for a year and a half. The demands of fatherhood and desire to keep a regular schedule to the Irish & Celtic Music Podcast means that this show will once again return to 1-3 episodes randomly published throughout the week, as time permits, and as I am hit with inspiration.
Since I'll be homeschooling Kenzie, as well as taking care of Inara, my life is a bit more kids focused. I'm gonna go with that and may publish more kids content.
In the meantime, the new Pub Songs Podcast is now live and new episodes will start up in February or March of next year.
I hope you will enjoy these changes and continue listening and enjoying my music. Slainte!
