I had big plans for another Celtic Travel episode of The Celtfather. But alas, sick kids left me a little tired. So instead, I decided to ramble on about some upcoming news about ContraFlow this weekend and share some cool insights about our weekend at the Beach.

Traveling will fill your life with joy and satisfaction. You experience life more fully when you hit the road and leave your comfort zone. I've felt its rewards more fully through my years on the road. I've grown and learned a lot, much like Mark Twain.
Twain wrote: "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime."
This week, I share some of my reasoning behind why I love to travel and also how you can kickstart your travel experience. Plus, I share a Celtic Music Spotlight on Abby Green and offer you a free copy of my album Not Every Day Is St. Patrick's Day.
Join me for the as we delve into WHY you should travel too. Find the shownotes at http://marcgunn.com/celtfather045
My apologies. That pirate scoundrel Captain Black Jack Murphy pirated my podcast for Talk Like a Pirate Day while hunting dragons. How horrible!
A friend of mine wants to turn his dream into a full-time career. He knows what he wants, but he seems uncertain. So I decided to share this podcast as inspiration for him and for every budding entrepreneur who has a dream.

This has been a phenomenal DragonCon with amazing gigs and audiences! As we’ve reached Monday morning, the Con is winding down, but there’s still plenty to do. There’s a lot to do in the upcoming weeks, but for now, I’d like to highlight the work of a friend of mine, Chaz Kemp.

I'm getting ready to head off on a family vacation. But I have a lot of news that needs to be shared before I head out.
We are two weeks away from the largest science fiction convention in the world--Dragon Con. I'm performing all weekend with Brobdingnagian Bards. However, I have a few extra shows of my own, including a Firefly Drinking Songs show and a Pub Songs Podcast Live show that will also be streamed live online.
This week's Celtic Music Spotlight is on the Rachel Hair Trio out of Glasgow, Scotland. My website is redesigned and I have a new podcast audio host. Plus, the Celtic Invasion of Cornwall is just about on a waiting list.
You can find all of his and more in our website at marcgunn.com/celtfather041.

PS. Make sure you listen to the very end of the show for a special treat from the Celt Father.
What is the ONE thing that will make you successful? That's what the latest audiobook I'm enjoying, called "The One Thing", is all about. It has me thinking how I can best use my time right now. I'm taking care of a baby and home and trying to do work at the same time. It's not easy. It really requires focusing on ONE thing at a time. Can I do it?

GenCon is the world's largest gaming convention. You would think with such a big convention, that it would be easy to find any game you wanted. But last year when I went to find a game for my 3-year-old daughter, I couldn't. So in 2015, I decided to make an even more thorough search of the convention to find games that she would love. Today, I talk about two: Rhino Hero and Mega Monster City Smash.

GenCon was another amazing weekend. I even found some great geeky games for my daughter. My Celtic Geek shows rocked as well. I talk all about it in this week's podcast.
