On a mission to touch lives through travel, Krysten Kaladkarin is journeying to hike and hitchhike the world while uplifting the communities she meets along the way.
Adventuring solo, unassisted, and with her weak passport, Krysten amplifies the realities of travel, from the cultural aspects and societal struggles of the places she visits to the inequalities she faces as a digital nomad from a developing nation.
She currently runs Krysten Kaladkarin, a social impact travel blog that focuses on solo travel, digital nomad life, and ways to adventure sustainably and ethically. Her platform also has a giving community, which has collected contributions for various causes such as the war in Ukraine and the Taliban takeover in Afghanistan.
Combining her love for travel with her many advocacies, Krysten has found a way to pass on the kindness she has received by the people who have welcomed her in their homes, hearts, and in her hitchhikes.

Zya Be is a curious explorer at heart, whether exploring remote corners of the world or the depth of her own being. Taking a year long solo trip around the world at 30, before the influences of smartphones and social media, expanded her experience of life and set her up for creating a unique path.
After the adventure, she never worked for anyone else again. She was an independent organizational change consultant and then had her own consulting firm for 10 years until 2019. In the time since, she has reinvented her life to be one of fulfillment, of doing only what lights her up. She is now an abstract artist, co-author of a best-selling book and podcast host of Your Hell Yes Life where she celebrates women living life on their own terms.

Rachael Levine is 30 years old and living in Austin, TX. Inspired by a love of travel and desire to see more of the world while she is still (relatively) young and childfree, she decided to embark on her own "adult gap year." In May 2022, she took the bold step of resigning from her corporate career in finance to travel the world with her husband. They visited 33 countries and now she wants to help people travel cheaper, smarter, more authentically, and more often - as well as help them along on their own gap year.

My guest today is Jason Robinson. Jason didn’t see his 3rd country until age 40, and over a few years did some super methodical experiments to push his comfort zone. He decided to go nomadic, then 8 months later COVID hit...and eight months after that he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, an auto-immune disease that requires constant attention. But that's not stopping him... Jason recently published “The Beginner Traveler’s Guide to Going Nomad" to help others struggling to break into travel overcome their hurdles, as well as a new hiking journal and logbook specifically for people that hike with Type 1 Diabetes.
