We all know about the growing mental health crisis in healthcare. We've likely all heard about the challenges that social determinants of health (SDoH) play in our health. How often have you heard how SDoH impacts people's mental health? The answer is certainly not enough, but many of the SDoH impact a person's mental health as much as their physical health.
In order to learn more about the connection between mental health and SDoH, we sat down with Malekeh Amini, Founder and CEO at Trayt Health. In our interview, we ask Amini to share how mental health issues relate to various SDoH areas like food insecurity, unemployment, transportation, etc. It was eye opening to hear and see how many ties there are between SDoH and a person's mental health.
