Treasured Truth

One of the most important questions you can ask yourself in life is who you’re going to serve.  That’s because the answer to that question determines the answers to any and every other question you will ever have in life.  And as we begin this study in Hebrews chapter 4, Pastor Ford will remind those of us who have decided to serve Christ, exactly Who it is that we are serving.

As we conclude our study in Hebrews, chapter 12, Pastor Ford will remind us that it’s essential for us as followers of Christ to come to a place where we clearly see our own inadequacy.  The more we see God in His holiness, the more we should see ourselves in our sinfulness.   To learn more, join us for today’s Treasured Truth.

As part of our preparation for our ultimate destination, followers of Jesus must understand that it’s crucial to develop the correct kind of reverence for both Jesus and God the Father.  And part of that is fearing God.  Find out what it means to fear God when you join us for today’s Treasured Truth.

As we continue our study in the book of Hebrews, Pastor Ford will share about what it means to be a friend of the world and why being one is a detrement to those of us who are followers of Christ.

Pastor Ford will remind us that as believers in Christ, throughout life, we are heading toward our ultimate destination.  And through the peaks and valleys of our journey, God is working on us.  He’s chiseling away from us all that is not Christ-like and adding more to us that is like Him.  So, the longer we’re on this road, the more we’re being conformed into the image of Jesus.  Learn more about this when you join us for today’s Treasured Truth.

Pastor Ford will share some practical advice about how to handle the valleys we all inevitably encounter in life.  He’ll explain that in order to get through the valleys, we must have the right attitude, awareness and assurance.  To find out more join us for today’s Treasured Truth.

God wants to use people in our lives to prepare us for our ultimate destination.  Today, Pastor Ford will share a story about his own personal experience with this and ask us to consider who it is we are disregarding in our own lives, that God actually wants to use to bless us.

Part of our preparation for our destination is learning that our messes and our miracles have to live together.  And, as Pastor Ford will explain today, there are a whole lot of us who can’t deal with that.  We think that since we’re forgiven, our messes ought to be gone.  But sometimes the messes are the consequences of the choices that we’ve made and we have to live with them—especially if those choices were against God.

If we’re going to work with God to achieve His goals for our lives, we have to know where we’re going.  Where is God wanting to take us?  What is God trying to make us?  And Pastor Ford will let us know today that essentially, our part of working together with God is making sure that the trip along the way is a good one.

As God prepares us for and moves us toward our ultimate destination, He wants to bless us along the way.  And He wants to put us in the places where He can bless us.  And Pastor Ford will explain today that the best way to receive the best blessings from God is to have purity in our lives before God.
