Treasured Truth

Pastor Ford wants us to understand that we often let the little things keep us from the everything that God has for us.  Because where God’s will is concerned, we need to understand two things—we’re either in the way or on the way.

Pastor Ford explains that God has already given us the revelation—His promise.  But we don’t get the product—the manifestation of the promise—until we meet the qualifications for what God has said we can have.  Learn more as we continue this series called Takers, from Joshua 1.

Pastor Ford reminds us today that everything we need is in Christ.  We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.  There are no limitations.  There are no barriers.  We need to take the lid off, break out of the box and do the things He has called us to do!

It is likely that many of us are currently in a bad life situation or will soon find ourselves in one.  Pastor Ford will tell us today that with God’s help, we can make the best out of whatever bad situation we may be in.

We must respond to God’s plan and also rest in His promises.  Pastor Ford describes how the more we depend upon God, the more dependable we find Him to be.  No matter what comes our way, we follow God’s plan and He’s going to execute it and bring it to pass.

As we continue to look at how God commanded Joshua to take that land that was promised to the children of Israel, Pastor Ford explains that sometimes the problem with us as believers is that we take the things that we shouldn’t be taking and we don’t take the things that we should be taking.  But we have to be careful to determine what it is that God really wants us to take.

Jesus is a taker.  The most spectacular robbery didn’t happen in a movie.  It happened on a hill called Calvary where Jesus died and took our sins on Himslef.  He is a taker, who came to take away what we don’t need and give us what we do need.

As we continue this series called Takers, Pastor Ford reminds us about how God elevated Joshua to a place of leadership so he could lead the children of Israel into the Promised Land.  He’ll also share some important leadership principles that will help us as we find ourselves in the place to lead others.

As we begin a new study from Joshua chapter 1, Pastor Ford explains that God has called us as believer to be takers.   And some of the things that He wants us to take are the promises He gives us in His Word.

As we conclude Pastor Ford’s message from John 4, he shares with us the truth that will change the lives of unbelievers in our communities—Jesus Christ (His person) and Him Crucified (His provision).  That’s the message they desperately need to hear.
