Treasured Truth

There are times when we will lose out on the blessings of God, because we don’t have enough faith to put all of our trust in the plan He has for us. But then there are times when we only place only part of our faith in His plan, and God still chooses to bless us fully. How God chooses to bless us, when He chooses to bless us, and how much He chooses to bless us with, is really all up to Him.

We’ll be reminded today that we have a God Who cannot love us more than He already does and will never love us any less. And even though we sometimes ignore the plan He has for us and we walk away from Him, He will never walk away from us. No matter how far we stray, we never cease to be His children.

If they are focused on the right things, desires can be godly. But often, the devil comes after the desires in our lives and uses them to bring us down. Learn more from Pastor James Ford's teaching today about Satan’s strategy to use things like our appetites and ambitions against us.

Pastor Ford takes time today to answer more of your questions about the Bible and living the Christian life.

Understanding that we need to remember God and seek Him now is the focus of our study today in Ecclesiastes 12. Pastor Ford will remind that everyone will have to give an account to God eventually, so He advises us that it’s best for us to remember Him now.

Scripture encourages us to remember our Creator in the days of our youth. Why? Because life is a privilege and not an obligation. Pastor Ford reminds us that tomorrow is never guaranteed and that it is so important to remember God now, while we have the opportunity to do so.

Abraham learned Who God is by what He went through. He learned that God is the answer. But just like Abraham, we have to be given a problem so that we can discover all that God is. So to Abraham, God became Jehovah-Jireh. And if we go through the problem that we are given, what we’ll find is that God reveals His name to us according to what we need.”

Today we’ll see how, as part of being Jehovah-Jireh to us, God puts stuff where we can get it, when we need it, even when we don’t know that we need it. He then reveals His provision to us at just the right time—when we’re ready to receive it.

According to Pastor Ford, in the classroom of life, problems are the professors, trials are our teachers and conflict, controversy and consternation are part of the curriculum. Today he explains that we must stay awake and pay attention, so we don’t miss the important lessons that we need to learn.

Faithfulness now produces fruitfulness later. We’ll see today how God will test us in the little to reveal to us whether we will be faithful in the much.
