It’s likely that you, a loved one, or a friend suffers from chronic pain — especially in the lower back.

Researchers at McGill University and scientists from Italy conducted a study that suggests blocking inflammation after injury might make that pain chronic, challenging the standard approach to treating pain.

One of those who worked on it was Jeffrey Mogil, psychology professor at McGill.
