In an open Bible study, instead of coming with a prepared study, Pastor Tim answers Bible questions from the congregation. In this study, the questions are- 1- At the Jerusalem Council -Acts 15-19-20-, why did the instruction to the churches include a continuation of some of the Jewish dietary restrictions- 2- Was Ishmael in the covenant of God, but his descendants not in that covenant- 3- Several questions concerning the three persons who visited Abraham on their way to judge Sodom.

In the fourth session of our Hermeneutics course, we continue our study of Biblical genres with the genre of poetry. Hebrew poetry conveys emotion in a way that the Historical Narrative genre does not, and examining the parallelism that marks Hebrew poetry helps us enter into the emotional content. Also, we cover the subject of how to treat the imprecatory psalms--those psalms that called for curses on enemies.
