  • October 26th Freestyle

This episode is pretty much exclusively paying homage to the sounds created by Robert Earl Davis, better known as DJ Screw. His style sculpted my young ear drums around 20 years ago and I never forgot it. The infamous June 27th Freestyle is my favorite beat that he ever made. No disrespect to anybody else, but it seems as everybody who is anybody has rapped on top of that beat and after all these years, Slim Thug's verse is my favorite. Effortless word play gliding across a funky soundscape that I still can't get enough of. It is my birthday today, I have been very sick for the past few days but here I am, piled up in this podcast room fondling around to splice together this installment for you, my beloved ever-expanding  listening audience. Thank you for choosing to click on my podcast, I'll be sure and switch it up for next installment. I'm thinking Frank Sinatra and Frank Ocean next eppy. Until then, enjoy this episode from my 34th birthday. Until next time..

  • Don't Sweat The Purple Stuff

You have fondled around and clicked on what will effectively serve as my newest installment over here now. Don't Sweat The Purple Stuff is a collection of my favorite hip hop records that I personally own. Basically a run from 90's to current. My favorite era of rap would have to be early to mid 2000's Houston Swisha House genre. Paul Wall, Mike Jones, Slim Thug and the like. I might just have to do another hip hop episode next week and let the absolute bros around the globe get in on the swinging and bangin, chopped not slopped, leaning never nodding out slappers. My favorite portion of this installment would have to be Big Moe's Purple Stuff on vinyl. Purple vinyl at that. Super sick piece of the collection that I picked up for just $8 a little over a year ago. What a steal. Thank you, as always for choosing to be here. Keisha, global bros, I hope y'all enjoyed it and I'll surely be here next week for a special birthday bash episode in which I'll be turning the ripe age of 34 years. 4 of which have been spent building this medium, in that I attempt to weekly bless complete strangers' ear drums around the planet. To which end I'm somewhat having minimal success, but success regardless. Thank you for being here

  • Smells Like War Pigs

Welcome to what will loosely serve as my newest installment on the internet, Smells Like War Pigs. This episode is all over the place, much lacking anything that resembles structure, rhyme or reason but that takes me back to an old old saying on this podcast. Who cares. I very much did what I felt like doing in the moment over here now, which led to a few 45's being thrown around. Maybe some Basketball Jones, the Arch Bishop Rick James, maybe some Sabbath in there somewhere and wind it all down with some slowed and throwed leaves are falling type of thing ova there now. That would be good for me now. I'll tell you what else is good for me, I spent all weekend searching the metro area for vintage Japanese Pokemon cards and I had some luck. Beefed up the portfolio and now we're sitting pretty. More than fifty percent through 7 diffenrent vintage Japanese sets, closing in on a couple of them and I couldn't be more fired up about it. Some might say "7 sets? Chill bro. Just like lock in and do one at a time" SHUT UP. I'm like a vintage Pokemon vacuum cleaner at this point. If I bump into it and don't have it, I buy it and sort out the aftermath later. Simple as that. So shush with any bludgeons of my master plan because I like it and it's WHAT I'M DOING OVA HEA NOW. In light of my Pokemon dominance, I have not managed to swing by the record store in a month or so. I'll have to rectify that in the next few days and show up next weekend with something fresh for you people. Germany, Singapore, the rest of Asia Minor.. Take it easy this week. Thank you for clicking on my podcast. If one human soul experienced joy from this episode then to me, it's worth my time. I'll be here next week

  • Agony In The Morning

Hello my friends and audible enjoyers worldwide, welcome to what will effectively serve as my newest installment. Out of respect to Yung Lean's emergence at the VMA's I cold open the pod with Jonatan Aron Leandoer Hastad's Stranger album in Agony and Red Bottom Sky, followed by a slowed and throwed version of Boylife In EU. In my opinion, there are some cool moments in this episode, my favorite probably being how hard that mule kicks on Billie Jean. I see why it's the most sold album of all time because the master is literally masterful. This Thriller album kicks this subwoofer as hard as current day records, the kick being just slightly stronger than the bass line. Unbelievable sound in-house with the KRK white ghost studio monitors it really blew me away. This particular record sat in my grandfather's closet for who knows how long. Still sounding like this is really impressive. In other news, I painted a bookshelf today and will be rearranging the podcast room tomorrow. Trying to showcase the VHS collection and have a sick tower of power connected to a smaller TV in which I'll more frequently play VHS movies as well as my OG Xbox from my childhood. Most likely throwing a big bean bag in here as well. In other personal matters, I've redirected my focus in my Pokemon collection strictly to vintage Japanese. I've made the decision to master set some of the old Japanese Pocket Monster back cards which is quite the endeavor these days, but a feat that I'm well on my way to accomplishing. My most impressive deal secured this week, I managed to find vintage Japanese cards at 10 cents bulk price, so I bought 200 of them. After entering all of them into my portfolio, it went up $930 in value. I spent $24. Also I was able to catch up recently with an old buddy of mine. The fella who introduced me to Jai Paul's music about 15 years ago. I stopped by his home, met his family and blessed the kids with whichever Pokemon cards they wanted. The bro and his lady are master setting Snorlax and I was able to help in that area as well. Couldn't be more fired up about it. Yes, I am 33 years old. Yes, I do have enough Pokemon binders to absolutely crack your shoulder blade. I have an energy binder that would make your head spin. I'm deep in the game and it's not changing anytime soon. *Listening Expansion Status* I'm deeply humbled and excited to announce that this podcast has officially reached 106 countries. Top listening countries in order are USA, Singapore, Germany and India. A deeper dive into the stats reveals that I have had 2 individuals download my podcast from inside the Palestinian state, known as Gaza. I also have 2 downloads from inside the state of Israel. This fact really made me zoom out and think for a while. Nothing but love, blessings and prosperity from me to whoever hears these airwaves. At the baseline, I hope my music curations can take one person's rugged reality and change it for the better just for a little while. That to me, would be worth it. I hope that a human soul somewhere out there enjoyed this. Until next time..

  • Chopped & Slopped

Hello to the audible participants of this podcast and welcome to what will effectively serve as my newest installment. I am proud to present Chopped & Slopped, basically a love letter to the slowed melancholy R&B feel that directly extends from the hands of the late honorable Robert Earl Davis Jr., better known globally as DJ Screw. As a vulnerable child, my musical taste was blindsided and eternally jaded by the beautiful, lush audible landscape that was founded by his hands alone. This new song, Choosin Texas is a remix of Ella Langley's song with samples from a past Drake song, as well as a sample from Bun B. It fired me up so much, I knew that I had to scrap my previous idea for this episode and enter a flow state around this musical feel. I recently have noticed that this listening audience is expanding. I have finished editing and recording this episode, or I would have made a little change. I have a new listener in Mumbai, India which if I would have known an hour earlier, would have prompted me to close the episode with Str8 Outta Mumbai by the Arch Bishop Jai Paul. I hereby promise to close next episode with said Str8 Outta Mumbai out of respect for that absolutely righteous individual. The thought of someone hearing slowed and throwed, chopped & slopped tunes for the first time out in Asia Minor, in Bangladesh, the brethren out in Singapore blasting this to the point that it's distorted. Thank you to the expanding listening audience for choosing to come back and see what DJ Witwicky has for the week. Thank each and every one of you for clicking on this thing. Until next time..

  • The Cold Blooded Bro

Hello my friends and welcome to another edition of my radio show. Starting off with a run of original 45's that don't sound half bad if you ask me. The Marvin Gaye record that cold opened this installment is from 1966. This particular copy of Fire by the Ohio Players holds a near and dear place to my heart solely because of how warped and synth'd out it is. The heaviest portion of this episode has to be the second half of Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. The subwoofer really does a great job and makes the sound full. Hope somebody out there enjoyed themselves, last week we had another spike in listening numbers globally and that fires me right up. Thank you to the Bredrin around the globe for fondling around and clicking on my weekly installments. I had a big time, I'll be here next week

Hello my friends, and welcome to what will effectively serve as my newest installment. This episode mainly consists of old 45 records that are 40 plus years old. Plenty of pops and scratches, but I see it as character. I take liberty to slow and throw as I see fit, so enjoy yourself and good luck finding this action anywhere else. For those interested in my personal progress in Pokemon and VHS, I have given Pokemon the back seat for now as I hopscotch from store to store in search for super sick VHS finds. Over the weekend I was lucky enough to find an Andrew Dice Clay stand up VHS, Pauly Shore's Son-In-Law and I managed to complete my Matrix trilogy on VHS. I imagine that will be my weekend plans. Thank you to all who click on this thing and keep up with me. Hope you enjoyed yourself. Until next time..

Hello to my friends across the globe and welcome to my newest installment. Starting us off with a run of original 45's including a double-feature from Sly and The Family Stone, as well as what most likely what would be my favorite portion of this episode, the live performance of Distant Lover by Marvin Gaye. That thing kicks like a mule and remains one of my favorite 45 pickups. I've recently developed somewhat of a sickness. Over the weekend, I found myself hopscotching from store to store in search of cool movies on VHS. Just today I finally found a copy of Goodfellas, which sent me over the moon. In that same lot, I walked away with Anaconda, Godzilla, Friday Night Lights, the first Pokemon movie. Speaking of which, I stopped by one of my local card shops as well and added another piece to the vintage Japanese Pokemon collection. Added Erika's Venusaur for those who speak the language. Just over a summer of trading I've amassed a Pokemon PC worth a down payment. Not complimenting myself or seeking glory, just telling my listening audience that this Pokemon market is wild and if you know what you're doing, if you can predict the market, if you can bend spoons with your mind? You can crush it in your local Pokemon scene. Whatever. Oh yeah, I found all 3 of The Godfather movies over the weekend as well, watched Godfather 1 by myself and cried. Sick move. I could barely get up and get a snack it was so good. Each scene is a master class in itself and that motion picture gets better and better each time I consume it. Thank you for choosing to listen to my nonsense and keep up with my life. Until next time..
