  • Episode 43 - Ova Here Now

Couldn't have been more monotone this episode but the relentless week in traveling met with the hour time change over the weekend.. I barely even did an episode today. Earlier, I watched the last two minutes of Kobe Bryant's final NBA game against the Jazz when he dropped 60. After I wiped the tears away I realized I'm a loser and I need to do a stupid podcast for Cary, Coleman and myself. Watching Kobe is the sole reason I did this tonight and I didn't even appreciate Kobe when he was here. That lesson being learned, still I can't bring myself to appreciate LeBron. This podcast can be hard to watch, but at least it's not as hard to watch as the Lakers... So here it is baby real nice and proper on a Wednesday night. I really wanted to cut some corners and just give you people a hot and bothered edition of Vinyl Soul Searching but I took the hard route and gave you the real thing. Big Blender Manek and the TarHeels march into the heart of Texas tomorrow to send Marquette, then Baylor back into the abyss from whence they came. New March Madness Manek Merch available NOW get that hitter at fancy.co/bradymanek

  • Episode 42 - BoomStick Madness

Super slop episode, saved by editing again. These boys were on fire last night. The singing bits at the beginning and end were both not rehearsed, the Nacho Libre song wasn't even a thought until the last second live recording and we nailed it. Got stuck in the mud in a few areas because I'm a subpar Podcast host but we had a big time last night making this. Always a great time when I get to kick it with the Georgia boys. I say they're friends of mine but truthfully all of Cory's buddies are my only friends lol. Totally meant to give it my all in the Anthem but it's harder than you think, you try to keep straight face and rip a nice and proper high note next to RemDawg and Kid Dynamite. Flying to New York tomorrow, ready to watch a big ol boy drop somebody off at Barclays. Need to get out there mingle with the people and drink some of that water from the Hudson. Be like RemDawg and get that Manek Merch NOW at Fanjoy.co/BradyManek

  • Episode 41 - Sweet Victory

Being 24 Hours removed, yesterday was one of, if not the greatest day of my life. Thought about naming the episode Best Day Ever, also considered Party Pants. But as you can tell, ended up with Sweet Victory. Sounded better to me and I'm the Captain Kirk of this Enterprise I can name it Purple Ninja Turtles if I want to. Went with Sweet Victory because, as I anticipated in episode 40, a friend of the podcast treaded into enemy territory and took Coach K and Duke to the wood shed. BRADY MANEK DROPPED THOSE BOYS OFF. So, forgive my voice, lack of editing and forgetting to charge the camera again. I'm surprised I could even get anything done this headache was bumping all night and I was jumping up and down like a moron til 4 AM. It was all so worth it. Haven't even gone over this pod like normal, went to see Batman just now and didn't proof anything. Headed to GA to see the BoomStick boys tomorrow, so if there's any issues.. Tough. Be on the lookout for episode 42 in a few days. A tremendous thank you to Brady and the fam for the amazing year, can't repay these favors but I did just gift the big boy another sick shirt I made. The effort is what counts. Now I'm dragging the description through the mud. Muchas gracias mi amor

  • Episode 40 - The Podfather

Correction, it's Jim Boehiem that looks like a medieval cave troll, my mistake. My general distaste for his son made me cross my words. Yes folks, if I can manage to not have a ruptured aorta before Saturday afternoon, your host with the most will behold the greatest sight in all of sports. Carolina Duke, hatred through competition at it's finest and I fully expect to be hanging from my ankles on a street lamp in Durham shortly after the final buzzer. Especially after Brady man handles these boys I'm already ecstatic. Rep the brand, get the new merch or I'll send Luca Brasi over there. He's the new distributor. Once again, I believe the Youtube version is better because I put the time in for some visual cuts. Much thanks to the Manek family, VSS coming this weekend, BoomStick Madness next week

  • Vinyl Soul Searching Vol. 17

As fate would have it, two Drake vinyl records landed on my desk today so I piled together a few slappers and let it ride deep into the murky waters of the feels as we exit cuffing season. I absolutely butchered the Mumford vocals but I remain confident in the candid effort. Heart was there. Cooking up a real nice episode for next week and I'm about to hop on Halo with Pacdaddy, get some more highlights to show you how I can get down. Big Blender has a game tomorrow and new merch out now head on over to Fanjoy, type in Brady Manek and rep the brand. Much love, I'm editing on the front porch in the dark so let's hope I don't stove up and throw my laptop.

If you somehow found yourself on the audio only platform reading this description, I, as the producer of this sub-par endeavor, would like to recommend to you the YouTube version in this particular instance. I believe that I correctly used three commas in one sentence just now. Maybe I'm completely wrong and look like a moron. Anyways, I put more effort into the Youtube version this episode because I brought up multiple visual references that I had nice cuts for. I definitely value the audio only platform seeing as how it's what made me fall in love with this space to begin with, but this instance I recommend the video. Even though my hair looks like I attempted to harvest natural electricity with a kite and a coat hanger. I am choosing to ride this ambassador thing to the ground. Manek Merch Drop on Friday I'm sure I'll slam a nice IG post about it. Til then, check for the next Vinyl Soul Searching.. I'll be there

  • Vinyl Soul Searching Vol 16

I made a promise a few episodes ago, that I would refrain from yelling any further obscenities at basketball events but the competitive spirit of the moment overpowered me, and I let the dogs loose like Blake Shelton in God's Country last night. Didn't just offend referees and opposing coaches/players/fans, but I somehow managed to turn a fellow group of TarHeel fans against me somewhere in the non-ceasing, non-sensible onslaught of verbal attacks. If you're going to just sit there like a vampire on a log, do all of us real basketball fans a favor and sit that little hiney at the house, on your cigarette hole couch with a mask on and let somebody else that cares have that seat, please. They put a 90-year-old guy on the Jumbotron grasping a cane in his hand. He had more energy and life in his non-dominant hand than this bunch had put together. Real quick way to fire up ol Chester. Regardless, we made it through, didn't cuss anybody and didn't get picked up by my knee caps and thrown into the bushes, so all is groovy baby. Hope fate will bring us together again. That was the closest thing to a Valentine I had this year. One take to start this pod... Wish I wasn't dyslexic and nailed it the first time but a couple of those notes in there snapped. Get that Manek Merch, Coleman! We're driving up to see the big boy play in VA tomorrow, episode 39 coming soon..

  • Episode 38 - Super Boochie

As I sit back, proceed to process the Super Bowl and edit.. I can't help but feel bad for saying the game was rigged trash. And I don't take pleasure in shaming old women's dance moves, but in my favor.. Mary J Blige is old enough to be a grandmother and she is in that outfit in front of millions the world over. Good for her though. I hope I have the cajones at 60 years old to put on a skimpy astronaut suit and shake my stuff on stage in star studded Los Angeles. It was an eye sore to say the least. And God bless 50 Cent, but at 29 years old I don't even ask strange women for their numbers anymore because I fear that they're too young. Lord knows how old 50 Cent is now grinding up against the USC Sorority on my television but more power to him. Wish I was able to land Uncle Ryan for the people, it'll happen next time. Long Live Snoop Dogg. I need to sleep now.

  • Vinyl Soul Searching Vol. 15

Jimi Hendrix live at Monterey is from another planet. I'll feature a few more bangers from that on the next VSS, but for the meantime between time, deal with this lineup of heat served up real nice and proper on a Wednesday night. Also, not for nothing.. We started off kicking that mule pretty hard with that AC/DC High Voltage album. You're tremendous, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You know what else is tremendous? Big Manek, number 45 for our beloved TarHeels hit a game winning shot Tuesday against Clemson and his stock is skyrocketing. Grab his merch while it's available at fanjoy.co/bradymanek
Hope that wasn't too much of an ear beating. If you actually read these, God bless

  • Episode 37 - Tobacco Road

This weekend, I watched a friend of mine, a friend to the Podcast for that matter, DRIVE DOWN THE LANE AND PUNCH ONE ON DUKE WHAAAAAT Buddy wore the Tremendous Opinions shirt on College Gameday with Reece Freakin Davis get.out.of.town. Life is crazy, people. Just keep doing your thing whatever you think is cool and good things happen from time to time that you can't dream up or imagine. It's almost 2 AM now and I really need to lay down but yet again, even with one of my better YouTube edits in my opinion, my favorite part of this process  is writing these descriptions. Much love to TarHeel Nation, it was my pleasure to rock the house and jump up and down with the best. Trying to squeeze the juice out of the rest of this season. Thanks for watching my nonsense. God bless, see y'all next time
