Quite possibly my favorite episode yet, even solo I had a blast the whole process with this one. Apologies for the ear beating with the intro but I was feeling it. Search Justin Vernon Woods Live for that banger on YouTube. It's been a minute since I've passed over the hour marker, but I had quite a few topics this time from Father's Day to the House Fire to Halo Highlights. I know this episode skips subjects like a rock at the lake but it's all good baby. No Steven Spielberg here. Tons of my favorite movies and shows I left off the movie list because I either don't have or couldn't find the physical copy. Either way I like how the movie segment turned out. Hope you enjoy the Highlights at the end and maybe even picked up some laughs throughout. Y'all, the time has come. Let's all put our Manek Merch on tomorrow and support this big boy. Just spam the league until somebody calls out Big Blender from that podium. I couldn't be more amped about this and the Universe gave me a sign in that Larry Bird card. FIRE ME UP. If you noticed, I picked BJ Armstrong, Steve Kerr, and a Luc Longly card with Scottie Pippen on it. Even a Phil Jackson card with the sick muzzy. EVERYBODY but Jordan even the Coach lmaoooo Real-time example of how I manage to mush it to pieces. Peace, if you read these I hope the movie seg was up to par, and I'll have that C-List banger for you soon. Til then watch out for another Vinyl Soul Searching this weekend and I'll see you animals next week. I can be your hero babyyyy

Two whole days late on this upload. Really "filmed" an entire joint the other day to find it recorded 3 minutes and shut off. In an eternal battle against the universe for a right to survive, I have to dig deep and not skip my laptop into the side yard. Have to have tunnel vision til the final product. Even if the final product is a sub-par podcast like mine. Genuinely didn't know what to name this episode, thought about Night Owl City after the band that sings Fireflies, but that gif of The Rock made me giggle so I went with Dwayne Johnson inpspiroochie vibes. Might get a few extra clicks from the lost Gary Vee people. BUT I DONT CARE ABOUT CLICKS, I care about my final product which isn't anything to write home about but I did it. That's all that matters. Kept this vessel afloat for another week baby. Thank you for checking out 53, new Vinyl Soul Searching in the next few days

Like I've said before, if only one person listens to one of these and finds a new song they like, every one of these episodes is worth it. Podcasts like these introduced me to No Quarter by Led Zeppelin, Dogs by Pink Floyd, a few Hendrix B sides. Some of my staples have been introduced to me this way so in a way I reckon I'm trying to pay the universe back the favor and blast these bangers for miscellaneous listeners alike. The Kanye vinyls bring nostalgia that I can cut with a knife, and you need a life jacket when that Weeknd joint comes on at the end. Deep DEEP into the murky waters of R&B. I didn't really hit my ex's on Snap. Half of them look like they died and forgot to lay down, the other half still looks amazing but that's besides the point I'm making. You're way too opinionated I had to force it, I had to fake it. You had potential, I could've shaped it. You went and caved in. We could've waited, I wasn't rushing. Difference in ages. You're old enough, but you're still a baby.

Like the stork on Dumbo I'm showing up with a care package of fire flame heat on a Wednesday morning, ready for action. Strap on that seatbelt, put that helmet on and don't forget those protein pills as we embark on our 25th quest to vinyl illumination. It's almost 2 AM finally uploading this and I don't know what I'm typing at this point. Who cares, it's like my 75th upload and I don't think a single soul has read a stitch of these descriptions. Just me and the Lord. WHO CARES BABY maybe this will ricochet off a satellite into deep space and a dope alien species will get wrecked by that live Kanye performance, throw their Gucci belts in the trash and make a collision course towards our planet just because of this sub par podcast. Maybe I'd get a pass in that case. If they show up, first thing we're doing is smoking cigarettes and watching that Rick James interview. Lies, lies. Fabrication.

Accompanied by the newest addition to the family, meet Bogey. He was acting restless when I was trying to record and I needed an intro for this episode anyways. He my fren, him crazy and him lost him marbles. Post edit, looking back this episode seems to have no climax, no beginning middle or end. I did giggle a few times in the edit, that is always promising. No singing this episode for the first time in a while and I'm sure a few patrons of the podcast are thankful of that absence. I did manage to dance like it's 2002 and Outkast just came on though. RIP to Ray Liotta, your work will live forever. RIP to Eddie Mush the Legend, you made me giggle from time to time before I knew the back story, now I'm sure it will mean more going forward. Vinyl Soul Searching cooking up probably Tuesday or Wednesday, stay tuned. This record collection is getting rather excessive, so some sure slappers on the horizon. That's it for now, signing off

I was living in Georgia years ago, downstairs in a man cave alone watching Kobe Bryant play his last basketball game. Celebrities from all over in attendance, Jack Nicholson, Snoop, Jay Z and Kanye among many other A-listers were there simply to pay respects, not knowing what Kobe had in mind. Pre-game, Shaq jokingly requested a 50 piece from the Mamba. They laughed it off and Kobe walks out there, not only scored 50 as a middle-aged man on a rehabbed achilles, the guy scored 60 points to go with a lead taking jumper with time running out, beating the Jazz in an otherwise meaningless meeting. I watched the game in real time from beginning to end, immediately started it over and cried a few times. Not knowing what would eventually take place. At least Kobe didn't have to watch the world turn to mush around him like the rest of us. God rest his soul, thanks for the memories Kobe. I admiringly rooted against him and probably did say some negative things in his direction from time to time, but ultimately the mentality is incredible and it's seemingly absent in the game that I love today. That's why I didn't even watch the playoffs tonight and chose to instead record a sub-par podcast and get embarrassed on Halo. Again, I'm dragging this out way too long but felt I had to do Mamba some justice in the description. Thanks to Hoobie for joining me, Episode 50 up on YouTube, new episodes next week

I like to think that our local aliens are rejecting orders from their far away superiors to destroy our planet because they fell in love with watching Steph Curry play basketball. What if their favorite thing in the whole Cosmos is Snoop's Doggystyle album so they just can't pull the trigger until either Snoop passes from natural causes or agrees to leave to Planet Cruton with them and record the illest album of all time the universe over. They have to travel to the afterlife and bring Rick James back like Jack Sparrow, but shortly after succeeding, they kick Rick out of the studio because the aliens initially underestimated Rick is a habitual line-stepper and has an uncanny ability to go on a bendy rager. So they have to take another trip to the afterlife just to take Rick back to dwell in the abyss. This is why I don't have a flat in the Hollywood Hills next to Tarantino and Stallone because ya boy is a First Class moron. Mamba episode of Vinyl Soul Searching coming through on Monday most likely, these DJ sets are getting an average of 1 additional listener per episode lol hey at least it's not one less everytime. AND like I said before, if just one person discovers one slapper that they enjoy it's all worth it. Don't fear the aliens. Play solid music really loud, and walk out into the yard with both a plate of steaming hot grilled cheeses, and a plate of Oreos with a couple of cigarettes to boot. Nobody gets their feelings hurt. See y'all next week

Hilarious to me that I actually give effort and try to sing for the internet. God awful efforts on my behalf in the Bohemian and Rick James numbers. Wicked embarrassing but it's whatever I'm not gonna try it again lol I'm a one take Timmy. Typing that just brought back memories. Off of Lil Wayne's 'The Carter' Documentary, Wayne is recording a song and improvises "One take Timmy. I deserve a Grammy, Oscar and an Emmy" My head almost exploded when I heard that for the first time. Anywho, thanks for clicking on my sub-par project. Hope it was satisfactory, stay tuned next week for another piping hot serving of game.

Jones. An obsession. A burning desire. The undeniable passion or love for someone or some thing. Yes.. He was a victim of a basketball jones. Great playoff basketball so far this year in the league which has prompted me to dust off my basketball IQ and rattle off some most-likely horrific predictions for the remaining upcoming weeks of the NBA Playoffs. The case has been the same for me since James Harden left OKC. No real agenda here other than occasionally and circumstantially rooting against LeBron, I just hope to watch greatly entertaining basketball, nobody wants to see a sweep this late in the season. Just hoping to watch history really, that's why my gut wants to pull for Golden State, so when I'm an old man, which is around the corner.. I can say how bad of a mamma jamma Steph Curry was. But it's whatever. My allegiance lies with the highest bidder and in case the Warriors make my soul happy. Sorry about ripping the guy at Sheetz he had no idea how weird he is. I feel bad about shredding Britney Griner too I've made mistakes too. But I haven't attempted to traffic drugs into a Russian Airport. Maybe I'm just jealous. When I look like a moron which is more often than not, people just laugh it off and Elmer's glue that memory onto the ever-growing collage of colossal mistakes I've made in my life. Next time I find myself in handcuffs I'll just request a decal of my loser face be put on the Charlotte Hornets court. Not at half court or anything pretentious, I'd be satisfied with free throw line extended. No clue what I'm talking about anymore. Vinyl Soul Searching Vol 23 Coming Soon
