  • Lonely Loser

Any consistent listener of the cast would know at this point that I must really dig this Close To You joint and yes. Yes I do. Stevie Wonder on the talkbox being by far my favorite version. Frank Ocean mix second, Sinatra third. The original is almost unrecognisable after hearing those three. At least to my knowledge the original was Burt Bacharach if I'm not mistaken. I'm not doing research this is just regular knowledge that a C-list internet disc jockey has bouncing around in my musically inclined melon. The Bacharach version, God bless him, I highly doubt that the lady he was singing about was ever satisfied. He has tons of heart but, sweet mercy.. That delivery, I can tell he hikes his pants and would never think to bless a lovely young woman with a plate of cheese fries at Outback Steakhouse and possibly see what happens after like an honorable gentleman. I'm absolutely out of my mind and have a goose loose. It's all good though baby. Tons of fresh ammunition for the next installment. Found some awesome old 45's.. Sinatra, Tony Bennett, an Ozzy Osbourne and a super sick find that I will keep a surprise til next episode. Til then, I remain your most honorable host.

  • Slowed & Throwed

In a perfect world for me, the all natural gluten free Slowed & Throwed episode would solely consist of Paul Wall, Mike Jones, DJ Screw, Project Pat and Z-Ro. Maybe a cameo of Lil Wayne's 'Me and My Drank'. BUT this Slowed & Throwed, in particular, revolves around the drowned out melancholy R&B sound of my young adulthood. In the car alone I'd look up slowed reverb versions of my favorite songs and have the best playlists. So, some of these that I just blasted, I've been listening to alone for over 10 years now. Beautiful and nostalgic every time. Some not featured in this episode are actually my favorites.. The Birds Part 2 slowed is one of the best critical thinking masterpieces I've ever encountered. If you need to make a hard decision, or find yourself at a fork in the road, put on The Birds Part 2 and the answer to your dilemma might just broadside your earhole and knock your socks off. Hope someone out there in this ever-expansive universe enjoyed the episode. Until next time, I remain your loyal local internet disc jockey

  • Hard To Survive

It's bad when I truly believe that I could put the Carolina big men through a beneficial array of offensive drills for a week that could yield visible results in conference play. Who are you DJ Witwicky, one might ask? You quit basketball your senior year on an abysmal squad that went 2-24 the year prior just to chase loose women around town and make regrettable decisions, one might say. One DJ W'sOnlyInTheChat might respond, I've personally brushed shoulders with Tyler Zeller, an academic All-American equipped with the most fantastic Mikan drill a man has ever gazed upon, the world over. I've personally seen gold medalist Harrison Barnes absolutely crush a crab dribble 10 feet from my slackjawed face. The same Harrison Black Falcon Barnes that was guarding Kobe in the infamous Achilles game, the same HB that is a 4-time Iowa state champion alongside Doug McDermot. Tyler Hansbrough reffed one of my pickup games and we had a conversation about Texas ping pong once, so don't you tell me how to put the ball in the basket. Coach Jacobs would be a proud man if he saw me do those drills today. I would say he might even shed a tear but then again it's Coach Jacobs. He doesn't cry, he brings the rain. He'd snap a clipboard and yell at an unathletic freshman, I think, solely for my entertainment. I apologize, the beating that Duke handed Carolina tonight made me crab swirl in the bio. What am I even talking about this is a music show. How wicked nice is that Cascada/Country Riddim mix huh? What serves as a serenity of sound for some, I'm sure, is a superb ear beating for others. Whatever. I liked it. This ignorant never-ending description made me giggle alone in my room. Hope someone enjoyed the installment, new Coffee Stain drop coming later this week k byeee

  • Byck like 45

The title of this episode is in no shape, a reference to the presidency, rather, a reference to the Jay Z lyric in the Linkin Park Encore collaboration.. and I quote "When I come back like Jordan wearing the 45, it ain't to play games with you".  Referring to the 45's only policy that I reserved again for this episode. For only 45's that was a nasty country run and HOW ABOUT THAT MR ROBOTO. Holy Schmokes. Apologies for the pops and scratches, most of these records range from 40-70 years old and not everybody took the best care of their 45 records through the Cold War, Watergate, the fall of the Soviet Union, the Bush Administration, his son's Administration, Dessert Storm and Covid. That's a lot of life for these records to be sounding like this. That Sinatra was from 1954. Ridiculous. I had a big time recording this, I hope someone out there enjoyed it. Until next time, I remain faithfully yours

  • 45 to Life

For the first time in the decorated history of this podcast, your most trusted Host with the most is blasting 45's only for an entire setlist. To be honest I have enough 45's for probably 6-7 episodes. Recently picked up four more that I didn't even use in this set. Wooooow. One of them being the original Test Pressing of Mr. Roboto from Styx. How freakin wicked hot is that. It is actively 2:57 AM on a Friday night/Saturday morning. I just caught a wave and rode it. Nothing to do tomorrow other than show face at the local coffee shop and let everybody know what time it is. It's time for Papito to get his 32oz cold brew refill in my oversized super sick glass bottle thing so I can then effectively retreat back into my dark cave like Alfred and be a gluttonous caffeinated creep not seeing the sun again until I run out of coffee. As always, thank you for being here and I do fully expect to have a couple listeners show up heavy to the Salvio's 20 Year Anniversary. I swear they are some of my favorite people on the planet, not to mention the best slice of pizza pie I've ever had. The cannolis? Forget about it. An award winning restaurant that will always have some of my life's favorite memories. To take it a step deeper, on paper, the first time I was technically a disc jockey in front of other people was at Tony's daughter's birthday party. So stick that in your pocket. Show up to Salvio's Pizzeria in Cary NC at Noon on the 26th of this month. A limited run of hand printed Salvio's shirts by yours truly will be available to the public while supplies last. Hope someone enjoyed yet another fantastic installment from the boy. Til next time

  • Digital Dimension

It is I, DJ Witwicky of the Takagura Dojo. Here to break you off some knowledge via the World Wide Web. Welcome to Digital Dimension. No theme, rhyme or reason in this installment. Just following my ninja intuition and blasting an hour worth of jams for my beloved listening audience. Picked up a few new albums yesterday. I risked it all driving in the ice to leave the store with a 1980 Italian pressing of Jimi Hendrix, a disco Sly Stone album and two Redd Foxx comedy joints. Tremendous. As always, thank you for being here I hope someone enjoyed it. Keisha, keep rocking in the free world.

  • Virtual Vitruoso

Byck to kick off the new year with a few bing bongs. Your favorite internet disc jockey, the Virtual Virtuoso returns with some new heat. Found an original '72 Hendrix album from the UK along with a few others not featured on this episode. My favorite portion of this episode would be the Yung Lean live performances, the truck performance in particular is worth the watch. So over the top creative. Hope someone out there enjoys the episode, I'll be back new week for another bing bong. Thank you, as always, for being a fantastic listening audience.

  • Live From The Moon

If you are reading this, we have actively reached the quarter marlk of the 21st Century. Give yourself a pat on the back. Couple hurdles and mental breakdowns here and there but nobody is perfect. I, for one, am definitely guilty of crab swirling myself into a wicked lonesome existence but at the same time the grass isn't always greener. I'd much rather be piled up alone like Alfred in this Batcave than to have a raging case of stage 4 cauliflower ear from my wife bombarding me about how her friends husband took her to the Botanical Gardens and hired a professional photographer to hide in the bushes and I can't even tell you the rest because I blacked out from horrible conversation and cracked my frontal lobe on the edge of the mahogany coffee table. Sick. This room isn't that bad. The only person to text me Happy New Year on time last night was none other than VIP listener Keisha. Shouts to Keisha holding it down. Wishing everybody the best year of their lives.

    Live from the moon,
    Alfred
