Shiloh Skinner shares his personal story of Yahweh’s faithfulness in his life… of an awakening to the love and presence of a good, good Father who had been there all along.

There is a glory for Yahweh’s sons and daughters who realize that He cares for us and wants to make His fatherhood real in every way, even in the face of adversity. Be encouraged! Wake up to the reality that we know how the story ends. The trajectory for His Kingdom was set long before time began, and He chose you for this day. Remember, no matter what happens around us, He’s got the whole world in His hands.

Every day is a good day to look through spirit-eyes and see with hope, a joy-filled expectation for good. When we open the eyes of our heart, our hope is not for pre-conceived or expected results, for it is anchored to a higher source. “I pray that the light of God will illuminate the eyes of your imagination (your innermost heart), flooding you with light, until you experience the full revelation of the hope of his calling…” Ephesians 1:18 (TPT).

When we pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven…,” we can’t possibly imagine what that would look like if we only allow ourselves to see from our own perspective. The King of Goodness wants to come in and flow through us and pulse through the culture of this earth! As His sons and daughters begin to see with His perspective and move in the glory of heaven coming into the earth, it can shift culture and change hearts. “Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.” Psalm 24:7

Yahweh’s presence is not just something to be experienced in a Sunday morning church service, but in the day to day, coming to know Him in the secret place. There’s something about being still before Him…it’s in the stillness that we can truly know Him. “Be still and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10

As we step into this season of Thanksgiving, recognize that it’s so much more than a holiday. It’s about being full of thanks. Yahweh is taking us from glory to glory, and He’s doing something amazing in our hearts. It’s about being thankful for the revelation of Abba Father, rooted in knowing that He is good.

There is a process we step into when we set the Lord before us. (Psalm 16:8) This process comes with a grace to take us through, leading us to build as we go - preparing the way for the next generation to come and abide. Say yes to the process, trust our Father - Abba, and be convinced of His goodness all along the way.

Instead of viewing these days as dark and troubled, why not allow the awe of Yahweh’s goodness all around us to challenge and change our perspective? The Psalmist said, “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life....” That means that Yahweh’s goodness is inevitable! See His goodness in the land of the living and let every day be a day of awe.

“I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.” (Psalm 16:3 NKJV) How do you set the Lord before you? First, make up your mind about who He is to you, and be convinced of His goodness. Then, place yourself so close to the Father, face to face, that you can see your own reflection in His eyes.

2020 has been ridiculed, cursed, scorned, and caricatured as the worst year of our lives. Chaotic. Crazy. Tumultuous. Bizarre. Worst year ever...descriptive words that many have used in one way or another to describe it. Not so for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. For Kingdom sons and daughters, 2020 can be realized as the greatest year of our lives so far. Holy Spirit is calling us to change the way we think, to view this day through a different lens and see that it is so much bigger and deeper and greater than we could ever imagine. What an opportunity we have before us as we approach the end of 2020, to see the prophetic significance of this time, to rise up with a roar and be catapulted into a new glory that will give a whole new meaning to “The Roaring Twenties.”
