Every man struggles to answer two questions (at least).
🤷♂️ Who am I?
🤔 Why am I here?
Mike and Jim share their experiences struggling with identity and purpose as they transition through the different phases of life.
👇
What happens when you reach your lofty goal and the sense of satisfaction you expected is unremarkable?
What happens when you leave that job you coveted just to find out you weren’t as important to the mission as you thought you were?
What happens when our kids grow up and leave the house and your role in their life changes?
These are REAL transitions we all face...
... and we need "real talk" to deal with them.
👀
Discover lasting identity and purpose that endures the different phases of your life.
What happens when a Special Forces Warrior-- a Green Beret-- loses his identity and purpose?
Meet Ivan Morera, a 24 year Special Forces veteran. Ivan was wounded in combat in 2013 while protecting the freedoms that you and I enjoy.
Listen to a story of a man who nearly lost everything and is using that loss to help others... an amazing tale of resilience, discipline, grit, and most importantly, faith.
This is a man that is a true servant and warrior and we all can learn much from him.
Is it possible for God to take something as evil as a strip club and use it to save a man’s life? That is part of the amazing story you will hear today on Tribe Talk. On today’s episode, we are speaking with Byron Shelton, a Special Forces veteran of 3 combat tours and 4 non-combat. He’s been married to his bride for 19 years and is a dad to two kids. He has a story that you won’t want to miss. We know you will get something from this amazing story of a man with incredible grit, discipline, drive, and hope.
Here’s what to listen for:
Final thoughts: Spiritual warfare is real. Don’t be afraid to fight the devil with the power of Jesus. Tune out his lies…tune out the white noise so you can focus on what God has truly built you to be. Don’t deprive the world of the best version of yourself.
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more, and become more, you are a leader.” - John Quincy Adams -
In the final installment of the "Seek Adapt Endure" Archetype series, Mike and Jim break down the biblical calling for men to be leaders. Our families, work places and communities are desperate for men to lead well. In a culture that tells us to be meek, mild, and quiet…Jesus tells us to be bold for his kingdom. We break down the concept of “servant leadership” that centers around team success. Follow us on a journey to dissect good and bad leadership trends that ultimately must point back to the only truly authentic man, Jesus Christ.
Here’s what to listen for:
- Good leaders focus on service others
- The primary goal is the success of the team, not the individual - Good leaders eat last
- True leadership is marked by sacrifice for the good of the group
- Good leaders allow others to fail in the process of innovation
Consider the final point: Every man is called to lead in one way or another. 360-degree leadership means you have the ability to lead up, down, and sideways…meaning you have the ability to lead your subordinates, your leaders, and your peers. Your methods may change for each of those, but your potential for leadership is equal. As men we have to be willing to take chances and lead like Jesus did.
Parenting is hard… so is growing up a teenage boy in today’s culture.
In installment two of our interview series, we discuss the challenges of raising teenagers in current culture. Justin “Lemur” LeMire describes how he and his wife Allison navigated their son’s addiction to vaping and marijuana.
Garrison and Corbin also share how their brotherly bond, family dynamic, and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ pulled them out of a pit of poor choices to see them walk in victory for the Kingdom. Their story reminds us that there is no condemnation in Christ, and the family unit that fights for each other can accomplish anything.
Here’s what to listen for —
⭐️ Parenting teens is a struggle and you are not alone.
⭐️ Change comes when you give-up control of the situation and let Jesus take over.
⭐️ God wants to redeem all His children.
⭐️ There is no condemnation in Christ… Jesus does NOT want you to live in your shame.
⭐️ Trials forge you to reach your full potential.
And…
Consider the final point.
🥁🥁🥁🥁🥁
God designed us for community. Even when family members make mistakes, we are called to love each other well.
Allison and Justin LeMire demonstrated that when kids run from you, they still look back to make sure you are chasing them.
Our families are worth chasing after.
Nearly a decade ago, Jim’s daughter Libby almost died.
What they initially thought was a stomach-ache or something small turned into something big— but the doctor’s couldn’t find anything. They ran a few tests…
… and eventually, when a trauma surgeon went to discharge her, ran one more test.
That test— a foot tap— led to immediate surgery.
It turned out to be a ruptured appendix with over a liter of toxic fluid.
They thought she would leave in a few days, but she stayed longer.
None of it made sense.
Here’s the story…
… and what happened during her stay.
Too many men sit on the sidelines, wondering about the possibilities— and even their potential.
But…
… and this is key…
Our results come from taking ACTION, not from thinking and ruminating.
And, whereas grace isn’t “earned” by what we do, the grace given to us always overflows and impacts the world around us.

Jesus didn’t just come to take us to Heaven; He also came to show us how to bring Heaven here…
“Pray like this,” He said, “Your Kingdom come…”
And, He taught concepts like, “The Kingdom of God is within in you…”
He came to show us what it means to be fully alive, to live what God intended when He created humanity. In other words, Jesus shows us who we are.
