Pearl and Jordyn are back at it to give their take on therapy!
The episode starts up talking about Pearl's day, shower blunts, theft, and Black Panther. The two take a good amount of time discussing Rihanna's new song, and the importance of taking yourself on dates, before moving on to the heart of the episode: why you shouldn't be saying, "you should go to therapy",
The two take us through the stages of change, and some therapy critiques are based both on personal and professional standpoints. They discuss when therapy can be harmful, using examples from the day-to-day of Jordyn, and explain the difference between crisis management and therapy. Ultimately, they share that therapy is HARD, and probably Pearl needs to go back while Jordyn definetly needs to take a break. The two share some of the best sluttable things so far this season- and call it a night!

Jordyn and Pearl are back this week to give you their take on traveling.
The episode starts off rocky due to a lack of sleep and some other unnamed forces referenced in Live Spiral. Listeners get an update on Jo's physical health challenges and the two's anticipation of their in-person reunion that's soon to come! The two share celebrations for the week before getting to the meat of the conversation, and how Pearl's brain began spinning with these questions, to begin with.
Broadly, this episode focuses on traveling for and with various organizations like schools or churches, leading to a discussion on what is the "right way" to travel. The two discuss the important balance of pleasure and preparation for traveling into cultures and lands outside your own. Eventually, Jordyn stops Pearl's brain-rattling, and the two share some stories from their own travels, as well as some tips on how to ethically and responsibly travel that they recommend. The conversation ends on the important and all-encompassing topic of slippers, and the overarching question of this episode: what is an MFA? MBA? Who knows do you? Please share- honestly, they are confused.
Questions your hosts explore this week:
1. What does ethical traveling look like?
2. What intentions can be set before traveling to increase pleasure and the positive impact you're having on the place and people you're visiting?
3. What research can you do before traveling to become aware of what's expected of you?

Pearl and Jordyn are back this week to give their take on boundaries.
This week your Pearl gives you an update on her aquarium journey and both hosts spend some time talking cats and underwear.
To begin their deep dive, Pearl and Jordyn define boundaries and look at how and why boundaries change. They put an emphasis on boundaries that are dependent on safety and boundaries that can be more fluid. Your hosts discuss finding your autonomy in boundaries when it is necessary to interact with people, things, and systems that do not respect your limits.
Pearl and Jordyn share their personal experiences with maintaining their boundaries and what happens when boundaries are crossed and they get triggered. *content warning* Jordyn gets triggered during this episode, so you can hear how she works through that and explains what exactly activated her acute stress response. They talk shame, manipulations, and self worth in relation to boundaries. Your hosts round this episode out by sharing some tools and being mindful of how much choice and control we have in our lives.
Questions your hosts explore this week:
1. What is your definition of boundaries?
2. What is your assumption behind you setting boundaries for yourself?
3. How does your body respond to setting boundaries?

Pearl and Jordyn are back to give their take on affirmations.
Starting out the episode with the importance of chocolate milk, weekends, and new bedroom furniture, our hosts only take it up from there. We get a quick job update from one host, and led in a grounding exercise from another. This week our hosts are uncharacteristically upbeat and focus on the way they fully enjoy this season of life by keep themselves grounded and in the moment --as much as they can.
As the episode continues on, the definition of an affirmation is provided, along with how intermingled affirmations and mindfulness can be. Once that's established, the two share some personal and professional applications of that combo-combo. Jordyn even shares her personal affirmations with us all- while sharing some tips on how to make affirmations accessible for all memory spans (even Pearl's!). The two discuss how trauma and affirmations intersect, and the importance of being able to notice realities outside our own default method of being. The episode wraps up with some insight on reparenting, how to make the world a bit less tricky, and the importance of reclaiming our time. Stay tuned at the end for a guided affirmation model, rather than the normal blooper. Oooh! So serious!
