In our second week of Advent, join us with Pastor Jacob Burson as we look at the virtue of waiting and finding peace in God's promise of the birth of Jesus.

There is a lot of uncertainty going on in our world right now because of the pandemic and that uncertainty can lead to feelings of hopelessness. Today we discover the hope that God gives and the power in that hope as we live in a world of uncertainty.

This Sunday we learn about two things that we can do right now that can add years to our lives here on earth. These two things, when done, can also have a profound impact on our relationships with those around us; family, friends, relationships at work and at school and with people you encounter that you don’t even know. Both of these things that we will learn about are so easy to do but yet only a small percentage of our population does them on a regular basis. It is Thanksgiving Sunday so “come ye thankful people come” and “let us gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing”.

Putting God at the Center is more than just empty words. It is putting action to those words and living out a life of generosity to those around you.

This Sunday we focus on who God says He is through the scripture of Exodus 34: 5-10. God gives us a very clear picture of who He is... the I AM.

This Sunday we will focus on gaining a Godly perspective on politics and how that understanding can guide us through the politically turbulent climate we see happening in our nation. Focusing on Matthew 22:15-22.

As we wrap up the last Sunday in our Godspeed series. We look back at the ideas we've studied but we look forward to the mission that God has placed in our lives wherever it is we currently find ourselves. God can use us, in all of our flaws and shortcomings.

It has been a philosophical question that has been asked by thinking men and women down through the ages. Edward Dahlberg, the writer, observed, “At 19, I was a stranger to myself. At 40, I asked, ‘Who am I?’ At 50, I concluded I would never know.” What a tragic statement to make; to go through life never knowing who you are. In Christ we see who we are and why we are here. This Sunday at the 9:45 worship service we will get a clear answer to that question from God’s perspective and by doing so, we will discover another aspect to the importance of knowing who God is. Last week I shared a quote from A.W. Tozer. This Sunday we will look at his quote again but this time with this understanding.

This week in our Godspeed series, we zero in the Biblical basis of the power of knowing another's name and what doors that opens for it shows a deeper connection.
