We don’t love others like we know that Jesus would like for us to. We say things we wish we haven’t said. Rather than having a long fuse we find ourselves with a short fuse and with certain people, that fuse is becoming shorter and shorter. By discovering the heart of the issue we will find that we may not have to try so hard. In fact, maybe we won’t have to try at all as it will become a part of our character, our nature.

We don't know what will happen next. But we can find assurance in the fact that no matter what happens, God is with us, whether it be joy or whether it be pain... God promises never to leave us.

This pandemic has struck at the very heart of what makes the Church strong, and that is the spiritual family that He has called into being; a family where we come together, and pray together, worship together, serve together and lean on one another in times of stress and strain. We do have a long journey ahead of us as a spiritual family and God designed the journey to be one of where we do it together, not as separate individuals. We really DO need each other.

It is in the midst of these events that I have felt led to talk about these things in church as we desperately need to know how to think Biblically in a political world. We want our response to these events to be grounded in Biblical truth.
