The good news of the gospel is that Jesus came to us as the light of the world and that in Him there is no darkness at all. This Sunday in worship we take a close look at this second “I Am” statement and the positive impact His words have on our day to day living. We will see how the light of Jesus can dispel the darkness that sometimes invades our lives.

In the Book of John there are seven times in which Jesus says “I am…” Each statement gives us a glimpse into God’s character and what He is like. This Sunday we begin our series "I AM." Where we will take a look at each of these statements and get to know Jesus in a deeper and more personal way.

We live life and sometimes we face the "if only." If only I had done this, or hadn't done that. Jesus came and died so that we wouldn't live in the shame of the if only. On this Easter we take a look at how God's love provides a way for us to tackle those feelings and become a new creation in Christ.

We prepare for Easter as we take a look into the moments that lead up to the cross. Jesus dying for our sins.

Palm Sunday marks the beginning of what is known as Holy Week. This day begins a week of a myriad of emotions such as praise, confrontation, betrayal, denial, trial, scourging, crucifixion, death, burial. Then the most electrifying sentence ever uttered— “He is not here! He is risen!”.

God is the source of love, Jesus is the proof of His love, and believers are recipients and then agents of His love. This understanding leaves us with the crucial question of what does God’s love look like? To answer that question, we need a word picture of what love looks like, and Paul does exactly that. We can look at the word picture he gave us in I Thessalonians 3:1-5 and learn four ways this love is demonstrated through the Church family.

Christ meets us in the depth of our wintertime to wait with us, to heal us, to warm our lives with His love and grace. During winter we become dependent on ourselves, yet spring is a time when we seek to break our self-dependency and deepen our dependency on the God who raises the dead. And as always, He leads us out of winter and into spring.

This Sunday we continue our Lenten theme, “We Really Do Need Each Other”. Why do we need each other? Because we are a church that is broken. We invite you to join us and experience what it means to be a broken church.

John has been described as “the apostle of love.” We can get so much out of reading and studying I John in the Bible. It is all about relationships . It is all about being together and how we should show love to one another and what that love looks like. This Sunday we will begin our “We Really Do Need Each Other” Lenten series with a journey into I John 2:9-11; 3:16; 4:7-10.

Wouldn't it be great to be so connected, so grounded, that when temptation came your way, you'd be able to stand your ground? One of the certainties of life, along with death and taxes, is temptation. Even the Son of God had to fight temptation when He walked the face of the earth. This Sunday we begin our Lenten journey by walking with Jesus into the wilderness, observing how Satan tried to get Jesus off of the story God had designed and onto the narrative Satan wanted. By observing how Jesus handled temptation we will learn how to become the person that finds strength to live God's story.
