This Sunday we focus on how we can strengthen a Christ-like attitude during those times in life when things seem to be moving too slow for us, especially when we want something so much, we can hardly stand it.

Nowhere in scripture do we read about the volunteers that God has used to achieve his purposes in this world. During his ministry, Jesus didn’t go around recruiting volunteers; he called people to be servants. This Sunday we explore this understanding as we focus on the theme, “Let Love Guide You in Serving Others.”

This week we learn and experience how God’s love brings us into worship, not just on Sunday mornings, but also throughout the week.

“No matter where you are in life, if you let God’s love and kindness be your guide, He will always show you the way.”

That holds true for the individual and it holds true for the church.

Join us this Sunday as we begin our four week series on letting the love of God guide us in our lives.

On this Laity Sunday, we will see the importance of rocks in connection with Joshua’s obedience and his memorializing God’s deliverance of the Israelites and how those apply to us today.

This Sunday we will be examining how our time in conversation with God can be meaningful by bringing excitement to our daily living.

We are honored to have Rev. J. Scott Fuller as our guest for this Sunday. Scott is the Advancement and Stewardship Officer for Murphy-Harpst Children's Centers. He spent 25 years as Pastor and Church Planter in the mountains of Western North Carolina before moving back to Georgia. Scott has been serving the children of Murphy-Harpst for 6 years. Our September focus on Murphy Harpst Children’s Center culminates with Rev. Fuller coming to bring the message.
