The gospels call us to die to ourselves so that we can live for Jesus. The epistles show us what living for Jesus looks like. We are called to be different. Jesus and Paul encourage us to get used to different. How is your family different?

But it’s not just about being different to be different. We are called to be different for Jesus. So that others might see us and wonder why we have the hope that we have.

• What’s your favorite smoothie?

This week, as we continue our Binge Reading the Bible Series, we turn to the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

The gospels teach us the Gospel! Why do we need anything else? Why do we need the Old Testament or the Epistles? Because the message of Jesus is terribly incomplete without the backstory.

School starts for our community this week. At Trinity Fremont, our K-8 school starts tomorrow (Wednesday). There are so many different emotions surrounding this school year. How do you move forward? Trust. 

This week, we take a break from our normal routine of sermon reflection and talk about how different people are responding to the start of the school year. How is your family responding? Where are you placing your trust? In your head, your hands, your heart? Or in Jesus?

What does it look like to live out God's wisdom in our lives? How can we talk about delayed gratification in our families, especially for the younger children in our homes? What would it look like to binge read the Wisdom literature in your life?
