Sometimes our days are so full that we don't enjoy anything because we're trying to do everything. Our relationship with God and with others benefits when we create breathing room in our schedules. But where do we start?

It can distract us from the most important things in our lives . . . and our relationships suffer. Connecting in smaller sized groups is a key way to keep connected, get to know some folks and continue to grow deeper in your faith and understanding of life. We believe that life change happens better in a circle rather than in rows. Today, we raise the awareness of the many opportunities there are to connect with others through Bible Studies, Community Groups and again, through service.

Joshua 24:8-18Matthew 20:20-28If you read the statistics, you’ll find that most people who claim to be Christ-followers simply attend a worship gathering but never take steps to grow in their faith through serving. The result is that many become consumer Christians rather than contributing Christians. Today, we are encouraged to see the many opportunities there are to connect at Trinity through Serving.

Daniel 1:3-151 Corinthians 9:24-27Luke 9:23-26It seems that the cry of our world is for no restrictions - no limits - no consequences. More and more, people believe that they are slaves to their desires. But God created us with an innate ability to control those desires and take action in the face of fear. Relying on the Holy Spirit’s power, those who are able to master impulses are destine for the blessings that follow. Golf Connection: If you force your swing, you lose control, causing the ball to go off the fairway and into the rough. Then it takes a few strokes to get back on track.

Ezekiel 18:26-32John 8:2-11When you meet someone who has a gentle personality, they make you feel calm and focused. Different than humbleness, gentleness defined is "power under control.” Today’s message explores how when we have compassion on others, we mirror the gentleness that God has with us. Golf Connection: Effective putting requires a gentle strength. Most call this “touch”.

Psalm 146:3-5Proverbs 3:5-6Mark 10:46-52Faith is only as good as that in which it is placed. The Holy Spirit gives us faith to believe in Jesus as Savior and faith to trust in His guiding and leading in our lives. In other words, this Holy Spirit fruit puts us in alignment with God. Golf Connection: To get a better view of a putting green, a golfer will bend down, hold his putter up and align it to the hole. At that point, the ups and downs of the green’s contour become evident.

Psalm 100Matthew 7:15-20Sometimes the fruit of certain tree’s looks good on the outside, but inside it could be sour or rotten. The Holy Spirit helps us produce good fruit as we reflect the goodness of God to others around us. Golf Connection: When you take golf instruction, you want to take it from someone who has a proven track record.

What happens to a person when they realize someone has been kind to them. Usually, a positive change happens in response to the initial act of kindness. When we understand God’s kindness to us, our hearts reaction is praise and thanksgiving and a desire to share that kindness to others. Golf Connection: The golf backswing affects everything else that happens with the ball - it’s trajectory, it’s distance and it’s accuracy.
