Exodus 34:1-7James 5:7-11Matthew 12:15-21God ‘won’ us by patiently leading us to faith in Christ. For the believer, the Holy Spirit’s fruit of patience helps us to calmly listen to His guiding and focus on what really matters in life. Golf Connection: Golfer Bobby Clampett said, “No game has ever required the character trait of patience more than the game of golf … without it, you simply cannot win.”

Romans 5:1-8John 14:23-27When we the Holy Spirit gives us the reminder that we are in the grip of God’s Grace, we experience peace. It is a peace that lasts. It is a peace that is undeterred. It is a peace that we can pursue and it is a peace available to everyone who calls on the name of Jesus. Golf Connection: Being away on a golf course is a peaceful experience, simply because you are away from distraction.

What happens when the life gets hard and you lose strength? Can you still have joy even in the midst of heartache? Today’s message shows us that the fruit of Joy that the Holy Spirit gives is grounded in the strength of our Lord. John 15:9-171 Corinthians 13:1-8a, 13Of all virtues that provide a template through which we live, Love is the most beneficial. Of all the principles, learnings and teachings the God gives, Love produces the most fruit. But what does a Holy Spirit kind of love look like and what is the response that we have based on God’s love? Our message today helps our spiritual swing by identifying the importance of Love. Golf Connection: When you love the game you’re willing to keep trying.

On any given day, the game of Golf can be both frustrating and wonderful all within one hole! The golf swing itself is counterintuitive, meaning that it doesn’t come as a natural movement of the human body. Being a Christ-following disciple is also counterintuitive to our world and our natural human character. In our series, “The Front Nine,” we will see how the person surrendered to the Holy Spirit bears good fruit - fruit that will last through multiplication. Join us as we explore how the Holy Spirit helps us improve our spiritual swing for major impact.
