Those of us who are actively working as "doers" in the church can tend to compare our actions to the inactions of others. This can lead to comparison and a loss of humility within our being such as the story of Martha and Mary. How can we be more like Jesus and keep our comparisons and bitter thoughts of "I'm better than..." from entering our souls?

As humans, we all trip up and make mistakes and from those mistakes comes guilt and shame. Guilt is the feeling we receive from making mistakes, but shame is calling ourselves the mistake. Know this: our mistakes do not define who we are. How does responding to each other with empathy and understanding allow for our shame and guilt to dissipate? How do we show the humility of Jesus?
