In the Triton Spotlight, UC San Diego and CCAA Hall of Famer Leora Juster joins Jeff and Jenny to talk about her incredible playing career for the Tritons. Juster also shares her comedic prowess and tells us about her love for painting and what she's up to now. Our women's basketball theme continues in the Campus Spotlght, when Madison Baxter joins the pod. Baxter is the scholar-athlete development chair on the Triton Athletes' Council and she fills us in on their efforts to get every UC San Diego scholar-athlete registered to vote.

    On an all-new Tritoncast, Jenny and Jeff delve into the life of men's basketball alum John Saintignon. He tells us about the impact legendary coach John Wooden had on his college basketball career and life after college, from playing professionally, to coaching professionally, to writing his own book. Before transferring to UC San Diego, Saintignon led the NCAA in scoring -- across all three Divisions -- while playing for UC Santa Cruz. Hear John's fascinating story on episode 13 of Tritoncast!

    Jenny and Jeff delve into the Triton Mind in episode 12 of Tritoncast! Our conversation with Corrie Falcon is in the Triton Spotlight. UC San Diego's Performance Mind and Coach Success Coordinator, Falcon talks about preparing the mind for competition and how that present-mind focus can give Triton scholar-athletes an advantage over their competition. Falcon also recalls her career as a swimmer and her time as a swim coach at UC San Diego.

    In this week's Campus Spotlight, Revelle College Dean of Student Affairs Sherry Mallory talks about keeping students engaged virtually in spite of the challenges caused by the pandemic. She also describes the thrill of finally getting to take part in the watermelon toss off the top of Urey Hall.

  • 11: Josh Cohen '14, Men's Soccer
    On episode 11 of Tritoncast, we return to the pitch to chat with former men's soccer goalkeeper Josh Cohen '14 in the Triton Spotlight. Cohen recalls his junior year as a Triton, when he led the nation in goals against average and save percentage. He talks about going pro in the USL and what it was like to be transferred to Maccabi Haifa FC in Israel -- where he still plays -- in the middle of the season. 

    In this week's Campus Spotlight, we chat with Dr. Erik Mitchell, UC San Diego's head librarian, about the year-long celebration of Geisel Library's 50th anniversary and what's next for the iconic structure. Dr. Mitchell also tells us how the library continues to serve students, faculty, and staff who may not be on campus.

One of the most accomplished Tritons in program history, Lizotte shattered numerous UC San Diego records during her time in La Jolla, and she's since parlayed her talent into a lengthy pro career in Barcelona, Spain.     A jam-packed Tritoncast comes your way in episode six! In our Triton Spotlight, we chat with recent grad Mikaila Reyes '20 about her experiences with UC San Diego's softball team. The conference's scholar-athlete of the year and a winner of the Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar of the Year, Reyes tells us how she balanced softball and two majors while posting a 3.98 grade point average, and how her close relationship with her grandmother inspired her to pursue a career in oncology.

    In this week's Campus Spotlight, Jenny and Jeff are joined by Marissa Ray '22 from women's soccer. She was a recent winner of UC San Diego's #USvsHate award after producing a video featuring several Triton scholar-athletes in support of the Black Lives Matter movement.
