    On episode 34 of Tritoncast, Jeff and Jenny are joined by women's basketball alum Karina Siam Herold! The 2005 UC San Diego grad is the VP, Major Events with the Los Angeles Sports and Entertainment Commission. Herold recounts her time as a Triton, and how a conversation with UC San Diego Athletic Director Earl Edwards helped shape her future. She also discusses her time at the NCAA office, her disdain for winter weather, her passion for leadership development, and her role as a senior athletic administrator at Pepperdine University.     Love is in the air on a special edition of Tritoncast! In this week's Triton Spotlights, we hear from two couples who were former Triton scholar-athletes. We're joined by Scott Tsuda, a former track and field athlete, and his wife Rina Nakano, a former tennis player who you might remember from episode 10. Later, Jenny and Jeff chat with former track and field athletes Sagrario DeFord and Matt DeFord. Both couples  share their love stories and how UC San Diego Athletics played a role, and we put them in the hot seat for a round of our popular Quick Picks segment!

    On an all-new Tritoncast, Jeff and Jenny are joined by Matt Kritz, Senior Associate Athletic Director at UC San Diego. Dr. Kritz oversees the Tritons' Athletic Performance Unit, which includes sports medicine, sports science, Triton mind, and nutrition. He tells us what it was like working with Olympic athletes in his time managing High Performance Sport New Zealand and helping that country more than double its Olympic medal count thanks in part to his guidance.     Women's rowing junior Gen Cassidy is in the Triton Spotlight on episode 29 of Tritoncast. The Bay Area native chats about her experience walking on to a team and learning a new sport, balancing rowing with her demanding cognitive science major, and her YouTube vlog. In addition, she recently started her own podcast, Crew Chats with Gen, to inform listeners about what her sport is like. Sounds like Jenny and Jeff may have a future co-host on their hands!     On episode 27 of Tritoncast, former UC San Diego baseball catcher Kellen Lee is in the Triton Spotlight! The 2011 grad tells Jenny and Jeff what it was like to be part of a Triton squad that made three postseason appearances. Lee still remains tied to the game today, working as a mental skills coach for the San Francisco Giants organization. Lee explains why mental skills work is so important to a player's success, and how his time working with the United States Army helped prepare him for his career in baseball.

    On episode 25 of Tritoncast, Jeff and Jenny are joined by Holly Maine, a junior on the women's water polo team. Maine tells us how she began working as a lifeguard for Los Angeles County, and how that led her to compete nationally and internationally in junior lifesaving championships - where she's won 13 championships! Maine also recounts the story of how she came to UC San Diego as a rower, but an injury unexpectedly led her back to water polo.
