Milliron reflects on her time with the Tritons, which included an incredible NCAA Championship appearance in her senior year. While she was competing at UC San Diego, she also balanced challenging classes and earned recognition as a CoSIDA Academic All-American. In episode 42 of Tritoncast, junior Stuart Boynton of the men's rowing team joins the Triton Spotlight. Boynton, a native of Cape Town, South Africa, tells Jenny and Jeff about his high school rowing experiences, which included the South Africa National Championships. March is Women's Herstory Month, and we're celebrating all month long on Tritoncast! This week, we look back at some of the strong Triton women who have joined Jenny and Jeff on the show thus far. Baseball season is here! The Tritons are set to begin their debut Division I season later this week against San Diego State. On episode 35 of Tritoncast, we’ll chat with former UC San Diego baseball shortstop Shay Whitcomb. Last year, he became the highest drafted position player in UC San Diego history when he was selected in the fifth round of the MLB draft by the Houston Astros. He tells us what that draft experience was like and how he’s been training during the pandemic.
