I've had a 20 friendship with todays guest, although it's been odd at best the past five or so years. 

In all those years we've never had a discussion like this. About our inner workings as people. This is a first, and we are sharing it with you. 

This is likely part one of an ongoing talk with Chad. Who doesn't necessarily struggle with a diagnosed mental illness, but possibly a self imposed one? At 40 he is finally trying to figure out who he really is, and it's genuinely interesting and relatable to nearly anyone. 

This episode I talk to Damian, a friend of mine for a few years now. Someone who shares the same dark humor and outlook as me, but at the same time maintains a very positive optimistic disposition. He has no question of who he is, or his place in the world. He just is, and the universe grants him gifts. Right? I think so.  I thought it would be important to talk to someone who does see the sunny side of things, looks for the gleam of light in a bad situation. I think that's an important thing to discuss, especially for people that possibly hang on to the bad stuff.
