Before he was executed he confessed to 30 murders of young women and girls but some believe he started killing well before he will admit to and it's possible he killed 75 to over 100 people, starting during his teenage years. On Jan 2, 1972 eight men took over the luxurious Pierre Hotel in New York City. The hotel was home to some of the richest people in New York and the men targeted the hotel's vault filled with safety deposit boxes belonging to the residents. After 2.5 hours the men left with an estimated $28 million (over $200 million in today's value). The men conducted the robbery with perfect precision and not a single person was harmed. In 1991 the city of LA was a powder keg of racial tension between Korean store owners and members of the black community. The senseless killing of Latasha Harlins, a 15 year old black girl, while trying to buy a $2 bottle of OJ was a turning point for the city. While the store owner was found guilty of a crime, the jury elected to convict her for voluntary manslaughter and the judge sentenced the woman to no time in prison. This verdict combined with the acquittal of the five officers charged in the beating of Rodney King sparked 4-6 days and nights of riots that left 63 people dead and over $1 billion in property damage. In 2004 the town of Woonsocket RI experienced a series of attacks on sex workers. After one man was arrested the police thought the terrible crimes were over but while that man sat in jail, more women went missing. Over the course of 15 months 2 more women were attacked and 3 went missing. One of the surviving women was able to identify her attacker and police made a grisly discovery in his home. She had a great life with her "perfect husband" Scott but within a week, his perfect façade crumpled as a woman came forward stating she had been having an affair with Scott prior to Laci disappearing. Four months later, the bodies of Laci and her unborn son Conner washed up in an area where Scott had claimed to be fishing on the day Laci went missing.
