True Crime Behind The Scenes With Investigation Discovery Stars Det. Christopher Anderson and Fatima Silva

Listen Later

What is true crime and why are people so obsessed with true crime?

Today this question will be answered with tv true crime stars Detective Chris Anderson and Defense Attorney Fatima Silva of Reasonable Doubt. This crime-fighting duo also has a top podcast called CRIME AND COOKIE JUICE (TRUST US--YOU WILL LOVE THEIR PODCAST).

People are often fascinated by true crime shows because they offer a glimpse into the darker side of human nature, such as motivations behind crimes, and how justice is served. They also can be suspenseful, raise questions and stimulate discussion, and provide a feeling of relief that the viewer is not the one in the dangerous situation being portrayed. Additionally, some people find a sense of satisfaction in trying to solve the crime along with the characters in the show.

Chris and Fatima are the purveyors of justice and understand the national crisis of people who wrongfully convicted of crimes they did not commit.

Wrongful conviction refers to a situation in which a person is found guilty of a crime they did not commit. This can occur due to various factors such as eyewitness misidentification, false confessions, ineffective legal representation, misconduct by law enforcement, or incorrect forensic evidence. The consequences of wrongful convictions can be devastating for the person who has been wrongly accused, and their families, as they can spend years or even decades in prison for a crime they did not commit. It also undermines public confidence in the criminal justice system and has long-lasting impacts on the person’s life after release from prison.
