Malik Chandler is facing charges after police say he used his 11-year-old daughter’s TikTok account to lure Diego Montoya Gonzalez to his Grove City home, where an argument ended with Gonzalez being shot. Court records now show both men facing criminal cases: Chandler on felonious assault and weapon-under-disability charges, and Gonzalez in separate cases involving serious allegations tied to Chandler’s daughter and additional charges involving digital material. Day 7 of testimony in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial sharpened the central dispute for jurors: whether the killings were deliberate acts of criminal intent or the result of postpartum psychosis and a severe mental-health collapse. Testimony and reporting focused on a former nanny who described Clancy as a “wonderful mother,” toxicology evidence about prescribed medications found in her system, and the prosecution’s claim that Clancy acted intentionally when Cora, Dawson, and Callan were killed.

Today, Elizabeth Siders became the latest grown-up in the Ohio 16 case to face a formal mental-health question in court. In an August 4, 2026 filing, her attorney asked the Vinton County court to order an evaluation on two issues: whether she’s competent to stand trial now, and whether she may have been not guilty by reason of insanity at the time of the alleged offenses. Siders remains charged with 16 felony counts, and the growing stack of competency questions now raises a much bigger issue: who, if anyone, will be found fit to stand trial? And what about justice for the kiddos?
