So on July 1st the famous Elon Musk tweeted out that non- verified users on instagram would be limited to reading  just 600 tweets a day,

And sooner after that on July 5th, Threads, an app launched by Instagram /Meta was released.

With a similar format to Twitter,  Bluesky, another twitter competitor, has been available to users through a waitlist format.

Kenwood sophomores Skylar, Taylor and Jakayla gather to catch up after school finals to discuss how stressful the end of the school year is and how anxious they are for summer.

With recent videos leaking on social media of students getting into fights their teachers and teens "turning up" downtown, the older generation is concerned about the mindset of our youth in 2023. Kenwood seniors Noah and Miracle discuss their thoughts on the old generation's thinking and how it effects the youth of today.

On April 14th and 15th in the Downtown Chicago area, teens were caught again in local and national spotlight after a chaotic weekend.

According to ABC7 news , videos showed groups of teens recking havoc on Michigan Avenue on Saturday April 15th and at 31st Street Beach on Friday April 14.

Some teenagers were shot, dozens of arrests were made, with businesses, residents and tourists scared.

These meet ups known as "trends" are often hyped up and circulated on social media.

Kenwood teens Brandon and Damarege discuss what they think is causing the "trends".

Our Kenwood team met for their third podcast since returning to in-person learning since the COVID-19 pandemic. Students Brandon, basketball player Prince and Damareye discuss their experiences being separated from school, wearing mask and even the effects on family life and how a virus affected us all.

On March 27, 2023, a mass shooting occurred at The Covenant School, a private Presbyterian Church in America parochial school in the Green Hills neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee.

According to CNN, the school shooting suspect had maps of the school building and scouted a possible second attack location. 

As police further investigate, the students of Kenwood High School in Chicago can't help but wonder if their school is safe enough after they also have recently experienced the death of a student via shooting.
