Silver Linings: Lydia Cornell & Dr. Sperlazza welcome our new guest Dave Mann this week. Good news: Dave survived a stroke in 2019  and a head-on car crash caused by another driver, which put him in the hospital. If he hadn't been in the hospital the brain tumor would never have been discovered. He was about to go blind. Twelve neurosurgeons turned him down, saying the surgery was too risky. Finally, the right surgeron stepped up to the plate -- who just happens to be an old friend of mine! (A godshot coincidence?)

*Dave is a former National Football League administrator with Washington and New Orleans in the 70's.  He also served as a Promotion Director with "Ice Follies" and as Sports Information Director with the University of California, Riverside.  He had been honored with 5 national publication awards, including two "Best in the Nation".  He received the Gold Top Crunch Award for Marketing Excellence from the Snack Food Association, defeating Frito-Lay.

He was referred to Dr. Daniel Kelly, Dr. Chester Griffiths and Amy Eisenberg of the Pacific Neurological Institute in Santa Monica, CA for his brain tumor surgery in 2021 by his dear friends, actress Shelley Fabares (The Donna Reed Show, Coach, and Brian's Song) and the only actress to co-star with Elvis Presley in three films) and her husband, actor Mike Farrell ( of TV's M*A*S*H) after being turned away by 12 neurosurgeons in Chicago as well as the Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic and Johns Hopkins.

Dave was born in Chicago, IL and resides in Mesa, AZ. He is a motivational speaker to college and professional sports teams on "Overcoming Adversity -  From Fears To Cheers".

A mind-boggling revelation. Our loving attention to something literally alters the physical universe.  What appear to be miracles are actually natural laws according to quantum physics. If you are afraid of something, that's good news, because then you automatically know it is unreal. We are co-creating our experience of the world and the world itself, by where we focus our attention and intention. Despite appearances, good things are actually happening! How to have hope and freedom from fear during the reign of despots and this current political climate.  

Why did we need DEI in the first place? Because women, gays and other minorities were bullied,  excluded from jobs and committing suicide! I got some cruel fan comments and death threats for speaking out.

What did the Great Peacemaker mean by "love your enemies?'  Good always wins and evil annihilates itself. New ways to view your fellow man, even when you disagree. Even when thnk they are 'evil' or doing evil things (as many of us think Trump and Elon Musk are doing.) Withdraw your attention from your enemies, and they expire from neglect. Don't fight anyone or anything. Love your enemies.. means do not even see an enemy. Wear the world as a loose garment.
