  • #9 – Regrets, big leaps and the compound effect

While a big leap might look like an overnight thing to the outside world in reality it was the result of many, many twists and turns both internally and actions externally over several years.

Perhaps you’re wondering what those last few years have looked like going from Architect to coach? Today's podcast a short but not definitive list of the these little leaps and decisions, and the compound effect they had.

One of the keys to the compound effect is making lots of little decisions. To support you - DOWNLOAD: CLICK HERE FOR YOUR: 7 Question Framework for Decision Making

  • #8 – From architect to coaching women (The story of my own career switch)

This week the roles are reversed and I'm sharing a recent "conscious conversation" I had with Lisa Bryant, on her show the Self podcast. Lisa and I discuss how I transitioned out of a full-time career as an architect to becoming a life and career coach for women, self love and what it was like for a woman working in a heavily male-dominated industry (but as you hear that is a changing my friends!).

  • #7 – Become a decision-making Queen

Today’s conversation is one of my absolute favourites because I used to be terrible at this very thing for so long that it crippled me - decision making. All part of being an adult right?

Once I got clear on the tools I needed to make decisions often and with ease I no longer felt overwhelm and today you're getting all of them in one episode.

  • #6 – Is pleasure the key to finding your creative spark?

today we’re going to have a conversation about a topic that we might not want to talk about, but is super important for us in pursuit of meaningful work: what to do when you feel like you’ve lost your mojo - your creative mojo.

This conversation is really dear to me - not only has it been an important part of my own journey, but of course reigniting creativity is something I see my clients also desire too and often becomes an element of our work together.

I want to support your creative side, because I know this is an important part of your life, but it could also be your secret sauce to elevating your career.

  • #5 – Showing up for your creativity daily with Lisa Bryant

Lisa Bryant shows up for her creativity - daily. After working for over a decade as a professional dancer, a career which took her around the world, she returned home to Australia and found herself going through a career transition. A transition that lead her to explore other ways of expressing herself through working as an actor, presenter, fitness coach and yoga teacher. In January 2019, Lisa started a daily podcast called Self - which she describes a short and powerful way to kick start your day with intention and a positive mindset. All because of this one daily creative act, she is being presented with new career opportunities and is taking the podcast offline with a collaboration called Well, which helps younger women with their mental and physical wellbeing through workshops.

  • #4 – The story I was telling myself

Today's episode is a little unusual. After my interview with Jen Wright (Episode 3.), I thought it would be fun (and terrifying) to share the story I created as a result of her framework. This is a personal reflection of the stories I accumulated about belonging and fitting based on the way I interpreted my teenage experiences. Stories that ultimately led me to question my career path and make a big change several years ago.

  • #2 – Where could brave over perfect lead you?

In this episode, Ruby shares a talk she did back in March 2019 which was about being brave over perfect and how this can lead us to contribute, gain clarity around our path and ultimately feel more passionate about our work.

Attribution note: Though not quoted in the podcast, the phrase "Brave Over Perfect" was originally shared by Susie Rinehart who spoke at TEDx Boulder back in Spring 2018 (https://susierinehart.com/)
