Right now, neither chamber of Congress is in session, meaning that tonight there remains no clear path out of this partial federal government shutdown. No negotiations that CNN knows of between party leaders and the White House are underway as the ripple affects of this shutdown are now starting to be felt across federal agencies in Washington.
