It’s a blessing to see God. This blessing is given to the pure in heart. To see the world, our physical eyes must be opened. To see God and God’s plans, the eyes of our heart need to be opened. Samuel learned this lesson when he was selecting the next king of Israel. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Samuel was looking at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart. The appearance and condition of our heart is very important to God. The appearance and condition of our heart means are our ways and walk with God. What is the condition of your heart? Is your heart filled with pride, jealously, lustful thoughts? Are our hearts obedient to God? God is always looking at our hearts. We can see God when the eyes of the heart are opened.

Recently we have seen a big earthquake in Turkey. God showed His anger but for a few seconds, and we could see the destruction and damage caused by it. The earthquake was followed by a harsh climate, making it challenging to rescue people. It was almost like an apocalypse. Because of the weather, those who escaped the quake with injuries had to live with untreated injuries for several days. Some people were trapped between the buildings without any rescue.  

In this passage 1 Kings 13:2, we see a man of God who had received a word from the Lord. He came from Judah, a day’s journey from Israel, bearing the word from the Lord. God had given the man of God the now word or the word for this season. This word created a ripple in the kingdom of Israel. ‘O Altar O Altar,’ is the voice that resonated in the kingdom of Jeroboam.

Around the sun, there is a layer or atmosphere called the Photosphere that extends for about 200 kilometers. The temperature in this photosphere is 5000 degrees Celsius, the light is above the visible spectrum, the radiations are massive, there are heat waves, and so on. The sun is comparable to God. Like the sun, around God there is a blanket or atmosphere around called Holiness. The natures and attributes of God, such as compassion, mercy, power, truth, and so on, are at temperatures and standards exceeding 5000 degrees Celsius in this atmosphere.

Samaritan women’s broken situations and search for truth created the need for Jesus to go to Galilee through Samaria. Similarly, our broken situations and desire to find the truth create a need for Jesus to enter our lives in the midst of His plans. Even though the journey was weary and exhausting, Jesus took this route through Samaria to particularly visit the Samaritan women. Jesus was never tired or weary in any of His journeys. To meet the Samaritan women, Jesus travelled a route that made him weary and thirsty.

The Lord among His Hosts, or God in His dwelling place, tabernacle, or temple, takes a shape or a living form. In these places, God takes a visible, living shape like a man. We can have the privilege to see God’s face in these places. So the sons of Korah wrote about the blessedness of being in the house of God in Psalms 84. They discovered the secret that God can be seen in His dwelling palace, or tabernacle. So they were jealous of the sparrow or swallow because they could see God’s face every day. They longed to dwell in God’s house in order to see God’s face. The ability to see God’s face is the blessing for those who dwell in God’s tabernacle.

God created hosts when he created heaven and earth. Lord of Hosts refers to Lord who dwelleth between or among a group of hosts. The Lord is in the center, surrounded by the hosts. The Lord has a myriad of armies of hosts at his disposal. He is also the conductor of the magnificent orchestra that is all of creation. He creates stars, planets, black holes, massive cosmic objects, as well as new living forms, such as humans, and new species. God is always creating new things.

In a brewery, new wine is poured into new wineskins. After the wine has fermented for some time in the old wineskins, the old wineskins become dry, hard, and brittle. During this fermentation of wine inside the wineskin for some time, the wineskin is stretched to its limits and becomes brittle. The wineskins might burst if they were used once more. To be made as new, the used wineskins must go through a renewal procedure. The wineskin needs to be submerged in water for a period of time. Then, it has oil poured onto it and the oil is massaged into the leather to renew it and make it used again.

Earth runs on the divine supply system of God. As the four rivers watered the garden of Eden, God’s divine supply system takes care of earth. This divine supply system maintains, sustains, protects, and nourishes earth along with the taking care of needs of humanity. This supply system even looks after the universe, managing planetary motion, the formation of stars and galaxies, and so on. How do I connect to God’s supply system?
