On Tuesday, after completing the radio program with Matt Skow and Nick Stumphauzer, Bob received two messages with some very tragic news. First, a fellow clergyman in Saint Augustine, FL was struck by an automobile while he was on his morning walk. He was life-flighted to a major trauma center, but as of the release of this program, is not expected to live. Then later in the day, another fellow clergyman whose 19-year-old son had been recovering from a brain swelling incident last year unexpectedly died. It will be a difficult time for both families. Bob shares more information at the beginning of the program, then Jim Calhoun steps up to the microphone with a timely message.

While most of the world has forgotten, today is known as Maundy Thursday to many Christians. It is the day we remember that Jesus gathered with his disciples, shared the first communion, prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, and was betrayed and handed over to the Roman Soldiers to ultimately be put to death. Jesus prepared for his journey to the cross by praying. We too should be practical in our preparations, but also very prayerful. There is a sickness engulfing our world. There are those that want to interfere with the relationship between parents and children, where the goal is to have government institutions and education being the substitute guardian. Our media promotes it, even Disney is on board. This evil is now being endorsed and promoted by many in education and government, including the Whitehouse in the United States. This is pure evil, and parents need to protect their children.

It is said that author and humorist Mark Twain once stated something to the effect that “The reports of my death are greatly exaggerated.” Many people think that over-the-air radio is dead and that only the Internet is viable. While it is true that many younger people listen far less to radio than previous generations, radio is far from “dead and gone.” Today, on the first half of the program, Bob looks at the impact radio still has in the world today, including shortwave radio. On the second half of the program, Bob shares his thoughts on how the world will never go back to the way it was. Even though that sounds bad, there is still opportunity.

It is so hard to know what to believe anymore. We are bombarded daily with all types of information. Some of this information is accurate, but much of it is not. The Pandemic is proof of information manipulation and out-and-out propaganda. The world of medicine is now just a business, and you are just a number.
