Donald Trump: Man or Myth? That’s my alternative title for Kenaz Filan‘s article “The Rorschach President:What Do You See When You Look at Donald Trump?” Since Trump is being criminally sentenced today, ten days before his scheduled inauguration, this is a good time to revisit the Trumpian mythos. I emailed Kenaz noting that his piece was “Well-observed and well-written. I would add that self-styled experts in ‘the creation and maintenance of public myth’ like Philip Zelikow (chief architect of the official 9/11 myth) know all this and are manufacturing and manipulating it, most obviously in the case of the blatantly fake ‘magic ear-nick.’” His reply:

“I’d be thrilled to be on your podcast and have marked the time off on my calendar.

It occurs to me that not only can the Left not Meme, they can’t do myths. The Kamala campaign was built around TikTok buzzwords (“Joy,” “Brat,” “Coconut”) and vapid speeches, while Trump was delivering fiery speeches and creating buzz with “they’re eating the dogs, they’re eating the cats” and “you have to go back.”

You can also see this in contemporary American filmmaking. Look at Rings of Power or the latest Star Wars slop for an example. They write by committee and focus group, and sprinkle in lots of nods to The Current Thing, but there’s no magic. That’s because Leftism fears the exceptional and privileges the mediocre.

Thanks for having me on and looking forward to speaking with you then!”

  • Do Donald Trump and Jeffrey Sachs Know Bibi Did 9/11?

Rumble link Bitchute link FFWN link

At first glance, Jeffrey Sachs and Donald Trump don’t have much in common. Sachs is a highbrow policy advisor who used to make top-100-most-important-people-in-the-world lists, but has lost his Establishment position after trumpeting unspeakable truths. Trump, for his part, is a middlebrow-at-best showman with a genius for mixing unspeakable truths with outrageous nonsense and then selling the intoxicating concoction to right-of-center voters.

Despite their very different styles, Sachs and Trump share an interest in unspeakable truths in general—and truths about the 9/11 wars in particular. During his 2016 presidential campaign and afterward, Trump called the 2003 US invasion of Iraq a “disaster” and a “big lie,” while blasting the open-ended pointlessness of the war in Afghanistan. As president, he unsuccessfully pressured his generals to withdraw.

Trump has even made a few statements echoing claims of the 9/11 truth movement. During an interview on CNBC's "The Kudlow Report" in 2011 Trump said:

“I blame George Bush for 9/11. The CIA failed. The FBI failed. Everybody failed. But, ultimately, the president is the one that’s responsible.”

In February 2016 debate Trump also referenced the controlled demolition of the World Trade Center:

“The World Trade Center came down during his (Bush’s) watch. I mean, the World Trade Center came down, and he was president. It was a disgraceful situation.”

One reason it was “disgraceful,” of course, is that American political and journalistic elites lied outrageously by claiming that jet fuel, rather than explosives, did the catastrophic damage. On the very day of the attacks, Trump went on record opining that explosives must have been used on the Towers.

Jeffrey Sachs, like Trump, has repeatedly blasted the disgraceful 9/11 wars and the lies that dragged America into them. Like Trump, Sachs has insinuated that he knows the official story of 9/11 is a lie. In a recent interview Tucker Carlson asked Sachs whether he expects the incoming Trump Administration to release classified documents on 9/11. Foolishly, the at-least-somewhat-9/11-savvy Carlson suggests those documents might merely explain why al-Qaeda did it (which, of course, it didn’t). But Sachs counters by rattling off a long series of “evil” actions by the US government, including assassinations and MK-Ultra mind control, and repeatedly going to war under false pretenses, and says that if the truth ever comes out:

“It would change the course of America back to a true republic. Because what happened in this country is that we were overtaken by the security state and we became a system of confidentiality and unaccountability. And it’s a big, massive machine, and a lot of people are paid to keep quiet or to salute whatever the military industrial complex or the intelligence agencies are doing without asking questions. Because when you have one and half trillion dollars a year spent on that, you’re a pretty big business. And it has affected the universities, the think tanks, of course, the Congress, which asks no questions of any serious kind. And so major, major events of fundamental significance for our insecurity take place without any truth-telling at all.”

Though Trump and Sachs both express virulent disgust with the mendacious 9/11 wars, and offer nods and winks signaling their knowledge that the 9/11 official story is a big lie, they seemingly differ on who was responsible for those lies. Trump blames Bush and the American Establishment in general—and even neoconservatives. Trump has made a career of saying things like:

"The neocons are the people that pushed us into the Iraq War and caused all this trouble in the Middle East. They don’t know what they’re doing."

But Trump has never explained precisely who the neocons are or why they wanted to use big lies to trick the United States into going to war in the Middle East. It is well known that neoconservatism is a primarily Jewish intellectual movement, and that its central tenet is loyalty to Israel. But Trump, despite his criticisms of “neocons” and their wars and deceptions, never says that in public. On the contrary, he poses as America’s biggest Israel supporter, and lets his rabidly Zionist Jewish son-in-law, Jared Kushner, run his Middle East policy on behalf of Benjamin Netanyahu.

But Trump’s status as a Zionist-owned-and-funded slave of Netanyahu was called into question last week when the president-elect tweeted a short video of Jeffrey Sachs speaking the following words:

Why did the US invade Iraq in 2003? First of all, it was on completely phoney pretenses. It wasn’t “Oh we were so wrong, they didn’t have weapons of mass destruction.” They actually did focus groups in 2002 to find out what would sell that war to the American people. Abe Shulksky, if you want to know the name of the PR genius…they did focus groups on the war. They wanted the war all the time. They had to figure out how to sell the war to the American people. They wanted to scare the s**t out of the American people. It was a phony war. Where did the war come from? …You know what? It’s quite surprising. The war came from Netanyahu, actually. You know that? It’s weird. And the thing is, Netanyahu had from 1995 onward the theory that "the only way we’re going to get rid of Hamas and Hezbollah is by toppling the governments that support them. That’s Iraq, Syria, and Iran.” And the guy’s nothing if not obsessive. And he’s still trying to get us to fight Iran to this day. He’s a deep, dark son-of-a-b***h, I will tell you. Because he’s gotten us into endless wars, and because of the power of all of this in US politics, he’s gotten his way. But the war was totally phony. So what is this "democracy-versus-dictatorship”? Come on! These are not even sensible terms.

By tweeting Sachs, Trump seemingly acknowledged that he knows “deep dark son-of-a-b***h” Netanyahu planned the “totally phony” 9/11 wars back in 1995—six years before the false flag terror event that enabled them. (Netanyahu held the office of Israeli Prime Minister from 1996 to 1999, crucial years for the planning of 9/11.)

Why would supposedly uber-Zionist Trump be tweeting (or, rather, “truthing”) Jeffrey Sachs blaming Netanyahu for the 9/11 wars—and, implicitly, for 9/11 itself? Despite appointing a rabidly Zionist cabinet geared up for war-on-Iran-for-Israel, Trump, and his generals, might prefer not to be dragged into yet another disastrous war. Perhaps Trump’s tweeting Sachs is an indirect threat aimed at pressuring Netanyahu into accepting a ceasefire for which Trump plans to take credit. For while Netanyahu has a gun to Trump’s head (“I can ruin you politically or even have you assassinated”) Trump may be returning the favor (“I know you did 9/11 and could wreak havoc by exposing you.”)

If that’s the case, the Israeli leader and his soon-to-be-inaugurated American counterpart may find themselves in a Mexican stand-off.

  • Ron Unz and Jim Haslam Discuss COVID Origins

    Rumble link Bitchute link

Ron Unz, author of Our COVID-19 Catastrophe, and Jim Haslam, author of COVID-19 Mystery Solved, are leading experts on the COVID origins issue. Unz just published an updated overview of that issue focusing on Haslam’s work. Unz writes: “The central thesis that Haslam set forth can be summarized in just a couple of sentences. Just like all the other lab-leakers, he believed that the Covid virus was bioengineered, but argued that its creation took place in an American lab rather than in Wuhan. According to him, the Chinese virologists who were so heavily demonized in the Western media from 2020 onwards had almost no role in that process and were completely innocent, even being unaware that Covid had been created.”

Unz agrees with 90% of Haslam’s work, but disagrees with his lab-leak scenario, which Unz terms “astonishing” (and not in a good way). Instead, Unz points to strong evidence that COVID-19 was released in a deliberate US bio-attack on China and Iran, as the Supreme Leader of Iran and the top Iranian bio-defense general charged and recently-assassinated Gen. Kirilov, head of Russian bio-defense, strongly insinuated.

So…are both authors right in arguing that the “China virus” was made in America? And which scenario better explains its release? Tune in and decide.

  • Sterling Harwood on "Was Stephen Hawking Replaced?"

    Rumble link Bitchute link

Sterling Harwood, a philosophy professor and lawyer who wrote a book on the "Paul McCartney was replaced by a look-alike" hypothesis, returns to ponder the "Stephen Hawking was replaced" conspiracy theory. Evidentiary issues include: Just how unlikely is it that Hawking lived 55 years after getting an ALS diagnosis? (MSM admits: "What’s happened to him is just astounding. He’s certainly an outlier.") And why do his teeth look different in earlier vs. later photos? Could it be that Brits just have bad teeth, and it was the teeth that got replaced, not the rest of Hawking? And doesn't he look younger in later photos and older in earlier ones? Does a fair and complete representation of the photographic record show the same person at different ages, or two different people? If it's the same person, does ALS cause Dorian Gray syndrome? Would it be worth $1000 to hire a super-recognizer to arbitrate? What do Hawking's friends, family, colleagues, students, and other biographical sources say? And finally...why is the seminal article about this issue the product of "Miles Mathis," an absurdly fictitious conspiracy-spewing entity that writes like the putrescent product of an illicit liason between Cass Sunstein and the ADL?

  • Is America Undead?

Rumble link Bitchute link False Flag Weekly News link

The 2024-2025 chronodometer turnover was…portentious, and not in a good way. America’s leading national monuments were struck by lightning on New Year’s Eve, almost as if God were trying to tell us something. Meanwhile, an ominous, officially-unexplained pestilential fog, not unlike the Airborne Toxic Event in White Noise, settled over the land. As the putrid AI-generated nano-fog thickened and HAARP lighting flashed, Jabba the Muslim, previously known as Jabba the Hut before his transition, wreaked Allah’s vengeance on the degenerate revelers of Bourbon Street, New Orleans—while a more nebulously coded arch-villain, a supersoldier whistleblower worried that the Chinese are invading America with UFOs (presumably to extend their chain of intergalactic Egg Foo Young restaurants and force us all to eat with antigravity chopsticks) set his Tesla a-fizzle in front of Trump Tower Las Vegas.

What does it all mean? As for the fog, the lighting, and the super-soldier, your guess is as good as mine. But the Jabba the Muslim incident was considerably less mysterious. The transparently false flag nature of that event was underlined when the FBI set up bomb-making chemicals and equipment in the dead suspect’s apartment, opened a Qur’an to verse 9.111, vacated the completely unsecured “crime scene” and allowed a fluent-in-Hebrew New York Post propagandist to waltz around filming “evidence of Islamic terrorism.” Anyone who can’t figure out that this was yet another Israeli-orchestrated anti-Islam PR stunt—like the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, 9/11, the 2002 Bali hotel bombing, the 2004 Madrid train bombings, the 2005 London bombings, the 2008 Mumbai attacks, the 2009 Fort Hood shooting, the 2010 CIA-employed underwear bomber scare, the 2012 Bengazi attack, the 2013 “Lee Rigby beheading,” the 2014 “James Foley beheading,” the 2015 Charlie Hebdo PR stunt, the November 2015 Paris attacks, the 2016 attacks in Brussels, Orlando, and Nice, and the 2017 Manchester Arena “bombing”—needs to read my books. For a concise introduction, check out chapter 5, “Pre- and Post-9/11 False Flags” in my free online book We Are NOT Charlie Hebdo.

The return of transparently bogus “Islamic terrorism” augurs ill for the New Year. It suggests that POA, the Party of Antichrist, otherwise known as the Greater Israel Genocide Project or GIGP (pronounced “gig-pee”) is once again running amok after being mostly missing-in-action, at least in terms of anti-Islam false flags, since the mid-to-late 2010s. The upshot: Genocidal Israel is apparently preparing to drag Uncle Sam into another big war against Muslims. That’s presumably why PR assets like Jabba the Muslim and his publicist, Jennie Taer, are being activated.

What’s Trump’s role? Most likely POA/GIGP expects him to rubber-stamp expanded war on Iran, annexation of the West Bank, and Yahweh knows what else. Trump’s real “inauguration” was not the upcoming travesty on January 20, but the symbolic coronation of the dying-and-reviving god-king in the obviously fake kayfabe “ear nick” on July 13.

So I don’t see the swapping out of one White House dotard for another as anything to celebrate. (Trump’s 78, three years older than Brezhnev when he died, so the gerontocracy isn’t quite dead yet.) But Cat McGuire argues that the end of the Biden era deserves a toast, especially since Trump’s election symbolizes the death of woke. Alright, Cat, let’s argue!

    Transcript selections

Kevin Barrett: Welcome to False Flag Weekly News, the weekly news show that tells the truth, the way too obvious ones that the mainstream doesn't seem to want to face, and even some of the less obvious ones too. I'm Kevin Barrett with Cat McGuire. Hey, welcome back to the show, Cat. Happy 2025.

Cat McGuire: Yes, happy 2025 to you, too. It came in with a bang, that's for sure.

Well, I don't know if you'd call that Tesla truck blowing up a bang or a fizzle, but it came in with something or other. So here's our slide of the week (posted above). And I know you said you’re not sure this joke is that obvious. So let me explain the joke to everybody. OK, so Jimmy Carter dies right as the year ends and Trump's coming in. And that symbolizes that we had a 150 IQ president who tried to be rational and moral and totally failed. And now we have a guy who's probably two digits at best, maybe one, a walking human zombie. Rational and moral are not words that could even be possibly used. And so there's a certain sense in which Carter to Trump at the turn of this year symbolizes what's happened to America.

I think I did understand that. I think it was more I was hoping that wasn't it.

    You disagree.

Yes. Trump is the zombie psychopath? After four years of the Biden zombie psychopaths who have been utterly incompetent? At least with Trump...I'm not like a big Trump fan, but at least we have some rationality back. It may not be Carter's moralism, but at least they're rational. They're 100 times better than the Democrats. America dodged a bullet when Trump came to be president. So to present him as the Zio...well, yeah, they're all Zio-zombies. We're still in a zombie administration.

I'll grant you that 100-year-old Jimmy Carter, even after he'd been in hospice for two years—they were trying to kill him, but he wouldn't die—he still had way more brain cells firing than Joe Biden has for the past 15 years. I'll admit that. But Carter at 100 also had more than Trump has ever had in his entire life. So, yeah, I guess I'm less sanguine about the prospects as I see it. If anything, it's even worse now than it was under Biden. And I know how bad it was under Biden.

It's all just gone way, way, way downhill since Carter (1976-1980). And Carter was horrible. I wrote in Bonzo for president in my first-ever presidential vote, because both Carter and Reagan were horrible. But here we are.

I liked Ken Klippenstein's "Happy Last Year: Why 2024 was a good year for America" because it was kind of against the grain. He thought 2024 was a great year. How's that?! Well... "We had all those people posting publicly under their own names that they were happy that the health insurance CEO got shot." Okay. And "college students kept coming out for Gaza even after the consequences got serious." Yeah, I'm with you on that, Ken. And then finally, "gerontocracy is teetering on the verge of collapse as Leonid Brezhnev, I mean, Joe Biden and the rest of these geezers start falling over.” It was a non-obvious, smart New Year's piece. Way to go, Ken.

Well, he was finding the silver lining under the dark cloud that we've been living in for the last at least four years since COVID started. It's gotten so terribly worse. But he missed one of my favorite mass rebellions, and that is the refusal to vote for Kamala. We were being hectored over and over again by celebrities. Obama famously was trying to shame black men. And they knew not to even bring up the transgender agenda that they so support, because definitely Americans were not buying that. So I kind of like that we gave them the finger when they tried to push Kamala down our throats.

Absolutely. If they really wanted to push the woke agenda a little further, they should have had Obama and Kamala—and their names rhyme, so this already is going to work—they should have had like a double transgender thing where they take Obama's male genitalia and paste them on to Kamala and then vice versa, the female genitalia from her on to Obama. And then they give them both a race change operation to boot. Now you’d have the ultimate woke ticket...though I guess making them white is not so woke.

Well, I was long saying that the biggest woke ticket would be Big Mike. I was sure that they were going to put her (Michelle Obama) up. Biden really double-crossed them when they forced him down. He double-crossed them by saying, OK, then we'll all support Kamala.

Why couldn't they back down from that and still have a primary?

They probably could have, but somehow I guess they didn't think they were able to. But I wouldn't doubt that Michelle would have been put up as a candidate if they had had a primary.

Well, I won that argument because I said there's no way they're going to nominate Michelle and they didn't.

We didn't have a chance to see, Kevin. We had no chance to see because they all capitulated to Kamala just like that. And that was the losing ticket. They probably got orders from on high: "You have to go with Kamala. It's time for Trump to go in because Trump will be a better puppet."

So how about the symbolic moment when US landmarks were all hit by lightning on New Year's Eve? It'd be better if the US leaders were all hit by lightning on New Year's Eve, but this is the next best thing, I guess.

Well, it was pretty striking as lightnings are wont to be. The symbolism was just so profound. I mean, it was just in everybody's face. This is primordial. Everybody knows that lightning symbolizes like clarity and destruction and transformation and instantaneous change, all of these big, huge, spiritual, emotional, intellectual breakthroughs across all human cultures So this was like a screaming message: the US Capitol, the Washington Monument, the Empire State Building, and the One World Trade Center. I mean, it was just epic, almost biblical.

I'm surprised the Trade Center didn't just collapse into its own footprint at free fall acceleration and then Larry Silverstein asks for a trillion, zillion, quadrillion dollars in insurance money. Anyway, I like the line in the RT story "with some commenters suggesting it could be a symbolic sign." I guess you're among those commenters, Cat.

OK, so more symbolic signs of a new year. How about the New Year's terror attack in New Orleans? This one is not exactly funny, but it's almost darkly humorous how absurd the story is. They're back to their absurd Muslim terror stories after taking several years off. So some guy runs down a lot of people on Bourbon Street in New Orleans on New Year's Eve. And who's the guy who did it? Shamsuddin Jabba? Shamsuddin Jabba has been like hanging around with the special, you know, whatever, the U.S. military for a lot of his adult life. And his name is Jabba. (Accidentally-on-purpose MSM misprint of Jabbar.) Okay, there he is. This proves that it was him. We got his mug shot. I mean, they're not even trying to be very subtle, are they, Cat?

No, not at all. They even had the word sham in his name somehow or other. But when these big events happen, we know from 9/11 that there are multiple purposes that are served. And I believe this New Orleans big event was an MKUltra distraction. They used it for multiple purposes, but one of the main ones was to provoke another war for Israel. So there were all these clues of a false flag that many people are getting now. There was the Zionist reporter who basically gave a massage stage set tour of the killer's home. Jenny Taer, yeah. She went on a terror. Now there she is going on a terror at the alleged killer's home.

So right after this mass killing the FBI goes and spends an hour or whatever and they leave and they leave the door open for her. So she just walks through the door and she does a little two-minute video, a two-minute anti-Islam video. And they left a Quran open to a passage about martyrdom. Well, what passage about martyrdom was it? It was 9.111. And so the FBI went into this apartment and apparently brought a Koran and opened it to verse 9.111 and left it there. And then they left the door open and asked the PR person from the New York Post, which is, of course, owned by Bibi Netanyahu's friends, to walk in and do an Islamophobic video. I mean, how unsubtle can you possibly get?

Right. And she was barely a reporter. I mean, this is a big story. And they just let any old reporter go in yoga pants. And so I looked her up on LinkedIn. She's fluent in Hebrew.

That shocks me. That absolutely shocks me, Cat.

Yeah, she has all these Zionist connections. Of course, they would get their “man” in there.

Right. So they obviously did it. The state of Israel just murdered all these people in New Orleans and laughed about it. They're laughing at us. What's wrong with Americans?

Well, besides getting this all gung ho to do more 9/11 type wars for Israel, I think the guy was an MK Ultra Patsy, so that's nothing too new. But I also think what happened in New Orleans was meant to confuse and distract. And just as there were multiple scenes of action with 9/11 in Washington, Pennsylvania, and New York, there were a lot of other things going on, other killings, other massacres and stuff. But clearly it was meant to confuse with what was happening in Las Vegas, because there in Las Vegas...both of them rented from the same obscure car company, for both the New Orleans and the Las Vegas events. Both had connections to, I believe it was Fort Bragg, military connections. So there were these comparisons to make it look like it was all of a set piece. But so I think New Orleans was just set up to definitely stoke for wars with Israel, but also to distract and confuse with Vegas, which is a huge super story beyond what we are being told. I don't know if you want to where we're going next, if you're going to talk about that now, but I have a lot to say about Vegas.

I have a somewhat different perspective here because I'm not 100 percent sure of what is going on with Vegas, but I am 100 percent sure of what's going on in New Orleans. I mean, they didn't make it subtle. They picked Jabba the Muslim and brought the PR person in with a set piece of evidence with the mise-en-scene all perfectly done. It was like they were tipping us off. That was "revelation of the method." And we know why they're doing that, because, number one, Islam is the biggest threat to the greater Israel project. Number two, Islam is the greatest threat to usury and the bankster empire, because Islam bans usury. And so the war on Islam must continue, obviously. You can't miss that with New Orleans.

But when you go to Las Vegas, it gets a little weird. It's kind of hard to tell what's going on. And Michael Hoffman, I thought, had an interesting piece sort of connecting the dots of the two. And basically his thesis is that the Greater Israel Project people who are doing all of this...basically it's Project Antichrist. The people who are planning to have the Antichrist, that would be the Jewish Messiah, rule the world from a rebuilt so-called blood sacrifice temple in occupied Jerusalem. So those people are literally in league with the devil. They have contact with demons. They summon up demons to help them do their dirty work. And the people who summon up demons have these obsessions with numerology and symbolism and so on. And so you can find all that symbolism and numerology if you look around at these events. That's how he connected the two. What do you think of that analysis?

I agree with all of that to a certain extent. But it really doesn't explain why New Orleans and Las Vegas are connected. I think that bigger picture is there. But I think New Orleans was put in to serve the second purpose of distracting from Las Vegas, because Las Vegas is a huge, huge, huge, much bigger story than anything else. And they had to have something to distract from what was actually happening. It's not just another unhinged kind of killing. It's not really about Musk and Trump.

This is the Tesla vehicle blowing up into flames at the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas. So that's the image. Here's a tweet about it. It was an Elon Tesla Cybertruck that exploded outside Trump Tower in Las Vegas. Is this a metaphor? Talk about a rhetorical question. The tweeter, Suleiman Ahmad, got banned. I guess he's a little too pro-Gaza.

The military man who is the supposed victim in the car—his name is Matt. And Newsweek posted a manifesto that blames China for the drone flap and repents of war. Newsweek doesn't get it. Almost nobody gets it. This is a huge story that Las Vegas was meant to be just another unhinged killing. And the connection to New Orleans was purposeful to distract.

Wait, wait, wait, wait. What's the purpose of Las Vegas? I still don't understand. I know about the manifesto. The official story is that the super soldier who did this was, number one, unhappy about having slaughtered many civilians in Afghanistan, and number two, trying to get out a message that the UFO drone flap on the East Coast was run by China. But the official story is that he's crazy or unhinged or a guy, a PTSD vet. And so the official story would be that this "China did the drones" thing is crazy. Therefore, obviously, this is not mobilizing the American people against China because nobody believes this guy. So what is the point of doing it?

A lot of people are really confused because last night this new bit of information was released about the Green Beret soldier. He's a extraordinary whistleblower. This isn't a manifesto. This is whistleblowing from somebody who his family said was a big Trump supporter, very patriotic, and who was highly skilled with explosives. So if he really wanted to do damage, he could have done it in a whole different way.

What this enormous story really connects to is the drones, the MH370 missing plane from 2014, and zero point energy, which is a sophisticated new technology that has been hidden from the public for years that deals with orbs and plasma and that we've been seeing with the drones. And this whistleblower, Matthew Livelsberger, is a highly experienced special forces guy who is actually adept with working with direct energy drones. And what he's trying to do is warn the country, not so much about China, but what his prior messages before he got blown up or supposedly got blown up—who knows, the DNA didn't match the person who was in the car—is he sent these emails that were shown on the Sean Ryan show, which people might want to watch, where he claims both the US and China have zero point energy technology, which is earth shattering, humanity shattering, new technology.

The person to be following—most people don't know him, though Tulsi Gabbard knows about him and is following him—is Ashton Forbes. He's the world expert on what happened with the MH370 Malaysia flight that got lost, got shot down, who knows where. He's figured that out and went above and beyond and totally understands zero point energy and has been following it. And now finally, after years of following zero point energy, following military links (here is) an actual whistleblower talking about these new technologies, connecting it with the drones that we've been seeing.

It's absolutely earth shattering what's about to happen because it's new technology that is above and beyond nuclear energy. And now it's finally come to the fore by this whistleblower who is almost a hero. So if people really, really want to know what's going on with Las Vegas, it's not about Trump or New Orleans. It is about the new zero point technology. The U.S. and China are the only countries that have it right now. And Matthew Livelsberger is trying to let people know what is at stake here. But the best person to follow for that is Ashton Forbes. And he was on Clayton Morris's Redacted maybe six weeks ago, I guess. Candace Owens has interviewed him. He's about to become a household name because he is the expert on how our government and China are using zero point energy. So a great place to start is understanding that flight that got actually teleported, that sounds weird, using this zero-point energy, that flight MH-370.

There's a whole rabbit hole of zero-point energy we could go down, but we only have an hour to cover 35 stories. Nick Cook wrote a very good book on zero-point, The Hunt for Zero-Point. So I take that seriously. I'm not 100% sure it's true, but it's not a completely crazy theory by any means. But my question, Cat, is you're saying that this guy Livelsberger is a heroic whistleblower, but...it seems like he would have been a fairly smart guy. Would he really believe that fizzling himself up in a Tesla outside of a Trump hotel in Las Vegas was going to get him taken seriously by the people that he needs to reach about this? That strikes me as unlikely. To me, it would be more likely that whatever is put in his mouth is distraction. Because he's basically discredited. The majority view of somebody who does something like this is usually going to be pretty negative unless there's a really obvious reason, like with the guys who burn themselves up for Gaza like Aaron Bushell. But here, 99% of the people, meaning the educated, important people that matter whose views need to be changed on these things, they're going to say, "this guy's obviously a nut. He's an ex-military guy who got PTSD and went crazy." And then number two, he's blaming China for the drones, which sounds highly dubious. So your theory doesn't make sense because he can't be a real whistleblower. Because the way he would have chosen to blow the whistle is completely insane and completely discredits anything he would have to say.

I don't think that was necessarily him in that car. They either actually killed him and put him in that car. He had been he had been followed from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas. He was trying to get to Mexico to find some kind of escape because he was doing whistleblowing. And I think they either were able to kill him and blew him up in that car, or he managed to escape as a bona fide whistleblower because he put out a whole other memo that's very White Hats oriented. I don't think he was actually really blaming China. There is far, far, far more to this story than "he went and blew himself up there to give a message." That's not really, I think, what happened at all.

I'm sure there's more to the story, but based on what we have so far, I can't make any sense of it.

Well, you haven't listened to the 45 minute Sean Ryan report. And you haven't listened to Ashton Forbes. I did all that last night. And more people are being open to it. And I'm really glad to hear Tulsi is following Ashton Forbes.

It's just that your scenarios...either way they don't make sense. Like he's a hero whistle blower who blew himself up to get attention. That doesn't make sense. You admit that. So now you say, well, actually somebody else blew him up. Why? If they're just trying to get rid of this guy and not draw attention to the message, why would they blow him up like that?

Because he was putting the message out. There's all kinds of details that in real time people right now are trying to put together because the messages that he sent to other people were not to be released until January 1st. So these new messages have just come out. We're getting what's in the press. One private soldier who is on the Sean Ryan show was revealing what Livelsberger had sent him via emails and texts, knowing that he was being tracked. So it's not fully brought together yet, but the one-dimensional story that we're meant to believe is not true. And the bigger story is that finally, what's coming out is...What really happened with the MH370 and zero point energy, what's really happening with the drones... a whole new direction for humanity is about ready to come out. Now, I know that sounds conspiracy level...

    It sounds like Q cubed.

Well, once you follow all the information that's out there right now, just what's out there that just came out last night, so most people don't have it, then you start to put the pieces together.

The message, the whole story, is quite interesting, but there's no clear, coherent explanation of it. I'm not even sure that zero point exists. It's certainly possible it does. It's also possible that the U.S. strategic people have every reason to try to exaggerate their capabilities. So all this UFO crash retrieval, "we have fancy extreme technology" stuff is obviously exactly what they'd want to try to make the world believe, or at least have to worry about. So there's a huge motive to just invent stories like this. And whether or not they're true—maybe they are, maybe they're not,I don't know. Like I said, the Nick Cook book The Hunt for Zero Point is a good background primer.

  • Alan Sabrosky on “Greater Israel”

    Rumble link Bitchute link

Alan Sabrosky returns for his first Friday of the month gig. Speaking of gigs…was regime change in Syria engineered by the Greater Israel Genocide Project (GIGP, pronounced gig-pee)? Other questions to ponder: Will the incoming Trump Administration be an improvement? Was Jimmy Carter’s America, like Carter himself, relatively rational and moral, compared to today’s USA and its genocidal Zionist-owned soon-to-be-inaugurated reality-show clown-in-chief? Will things keep getting worse in 2025, and if so, how fast?

Dr. Alan Sabrosky is the former Head of Strategic Studies at the US Army War College. He expresses his Jewish heritage via cuisine, not foreign policy.

Kevin Barrett: It’s a crazy new year. We just had this twin terrorist attack with vehicles deal where two trucks caused mayhem, one serious mayhem in New Orleans, and then a Tesla truck or something like that just sort of exploded or flamed out in front of the Trump Hotel in Nevada. And then the weird thing is that after this ramming attack, by a supposed ISIS supporter—yeah, right—in New Orleans, Rita Katz's evil twin was allowed to tour the guy's apartment. And she's going through there with her camera like, “oh, my God, he's got a Koran. And look, a keffiyah.. He's got a keffiyah! He was a Muslim.”

Alan Sabrosky: More than that, more than that, he was from, he'd been at Fort Bragg.

Well, they were both at Fort Bragg, apparently. Just coincidentally, by the way. Have you been there?

Oh, yeah. Long, long time ago. To Smoke Bomb Hill. That's sort of a slang for it. The 82nd Airborne Division was based there. Special Forces was also based and trained there. That was what they called Smoke Bomb Hill, which is where they went through special warfare, PSYOPs and a couple of other things. And I went through the PSYOPs course. But yeah, it's there. And it's intriguing because, it has connotations within the military as being the home of the Green Berets, which were the special force before the Special Operations Command and SEALs and all of that came around later. But the military would know about that. The thing of it is…Why?

  • After Syria Setback, Should Muslims Seize Initiative, Deploy Nuclear Deterrent?

    Rumble link Bitchute link

Zafar Bangash of Crescent International, author of Power Manifestations of the Sirah, notes that Syria has become Zionist-occupied territory after Assad’s ouster, and worries that “the genocide of Palestinians may look like a garden tea party compared to what they will do in Syria.” So how should the Islamic movement respond? Citing the Prophet’sﷺ example after the Battle of Badr, he seconds Mohamed Ousman’s argument that sometimes the best defense is a good offense. Extract:

Kevin Barrett: Welcome to Truth Jihad Audio Visual. I'm Kevin Barrett doing a combination of prerecords and live broadcasts. This is a prerecord, and I am touching base with one of my main references, both in terms of what justice is all about in the Islamic religion, and also how that is reflected in today's world history and current events. Zafar Bangash is the author of Power Manifestations of the Sirah. He's written about leadership in islam and he has a new article out at his Substack, which I highly recommend, and that is called The Islamic Resistance and What Is to Be Done: The Islamic Movement Perspective. And he points out that maybe the Islamic movement needs to get a little bit more on the offensive, a little bit more unpredictable. Maybe we're being a little bit too nice, a little bit too reasonable. Maybe we need to step outside the expectations of the opposition and find better ways to respond to these ridiculous attacks that are coming at us from every direction. So let's get into it. Welcome, Zafar. As-salamu alaykum. Good to have you.

Waalaikumsalam, Kevin. It's wonderful to be with you, and I look forward to this discussion.

Likewise. I appreciate the great work you do at Crescent International, where I also write. And I thought this latest piece was really interesting, though not very specific about... precisely what the Islamic movement needs to do to push back against...well, the main problem right now, obviously, is the Zionist genocide and the Greater Israel Project. But that's tied into the larger Western imperial movement to take over the planet. Tell us a little bit about the article and your take on these current events.

Bismillahirrahmanirrahim. First of all, we need to understand that as far as the Islamic movement is concerned, it must derive its methodology from the sirah of the Prophet. He is the one who demonstrated to us as Muslims how the message of the Quran is to be implemented in our lives, what we are supposed to do, how we are supposed to do it. And in the article that you made reference to by Muhammad Usman, one of our writers, and of course that's our approach as well, he points out to a particular episode in the Prophet's life. That was the Battle of Uhud. Muslims probably would be familiar with what took place, but for your other viewers or listeners, let me say that that battle took place just outside Medina in the third year of the Prophet's migration from Mecca to Medina. Now, initially, the Muslims, only 700 of them—they had set out with 1000, but 300 broke away from them. Those were, of course, the hypocrites who were not sincere to the Muslim cause. They broke away. And there was a 3000-strong Meccan army facing the Muslims. And they came face to face in a place called Ohud.

In Medina, there is a mountain, the Mount of Ohud. And there was a slope where the Prophet appointed or installed archers on that hill and told them that you are not to abandon your positions regardless of what happens on the battlefield, because those archers were supposed to protect Muslims from the rear so that the Meccan cavalry could not come from behind the Muslims to attack them from the rear as they were facing the Meccan army.

Initially the Muslims were successful. Only 700 of them were facing a 3000-strong army. But because Muslims were very committed, they were able to overpower and drive off the mushriks, the Meccan army. And as the Meccan army started to flee, Muslims started to collect war booty. And these 50 archers that were stationed on the hill, saw that the Mushriks were running away and Muslims were gathering war booties.

So 40 of the 50 archers that were stationed there abandoned their positions. The others pleaded with them not to leave their position because the Prophet had instructed them not to do so. And yet they just abandoned their positions, thereby exposing the Muslims to an attack from behind by the Meccan cavalry.

And unfortunately, a total victory was turned into a major defeat. More than 70 Muslims were martyred in that battle. It was a major setback. The Prophet himself was badly wounded. And then the Muslims took refuge by climbing up a hill, and the Makkan army under the command of Abu Sufyan left.

Now, of course, Muslims suffered grievous losses. They also were wounded, and yet the Prophet did not take a defensive position. He realized that the Meccan army, when they left the battlefield, would realize that they did not finish the job, so they might come back after the Muslims. So the Prophet ﷺ told his followers that, regardless of our condition, we have to go after the Meccans so that they know that we are not defeated, we are not demoralized.

And so here is a situation whereby Muslims were badly wounded, they had lost a number of very important figures, and yet they still went after the Meccan army. And then, of course, the Meccan army, whose chief at that time was Abu Sufyan, learned about it, that the Muslims were coming after them. He realized that the Muslims were not defeated. So he decided it's best not to confront the Muslims and not to engage in a fight, because obviously Muslims are determined to avenge their defeat.

So this has a very important lesson even in today's situation, in that naturally Muslims have suffered a setback, particularly in Syria. But the prophet's example shows us that even in that setback, instead of retreating, instead of withdrawing from the struggle, that we need to go on the front foot, on the offensive, and confront our enemies.

And of course, what this means is that The Islamic Republic of Iran has to go on the front foot. It has lost an important place in Syria. Not that Bashar al-Assad's government was involved in the resistance, but at least Syria was providing a transit facility for help and weapons to be sent to Hezbollah in Lebanon.

So now I think Iran has to take the initiative. The Ansarullah in Yemen are doing a wonderful job. The Hasht al-Shaabi, the Iraqi resistance forces, are doing a good job. The Palestinians have not abandoned their struggle despite the massive, massive suffering that the Zionists have inflicted upon them, including an absolute genocide of the Palestinian people.

But now is not the time to sit back and sort of relax. Now is the time actually to go after the enemy. And the Quran tells us that in war, even if Muslims are affected and have suffered setbacks, the enemy also has suffered setbacks. And I believe quite honestly and sincerely that the Zionists also have suffered a lot of setbacks, a lot of damage, and Muslims have to go on the front foot. We can discuss as to exactly what that might entail, but I think this is the position that we take, and this is what the thrust of Mohamed Ousman's article on Substack https://crescentinternational.substack.com/p/the-islamic-resistance-and-what-is was about.

Right. Yes, it's an excellent article. I'm glad that you shared it. And so do you think that part of the problem with the Syrian collapse, among the many factors that led to it, are that Syria was sort of the weak link in the axis of resistance in Syria? Its organizing ideology wasn't particularly Islamic. The struggle between the Islamic ideologies and the left-wing secularists and nationalists with Arab nationalist ideologies has been going on for decades in this region. And Syria with its Baath Party took an Arab nationalist ideological orientation, which did have its good points in terms of being open to working with Islamic forces for justice. And we certainly need more of that willingness to work for justice with other people that we don't fully agree with.

But it seems that the Syrian military was really not there. It melted away there at the end in a kind of a shocking way. I don't think committed Muslims would do that.

Absolutely. And that's precisely what the challenge was, that the Syrian government did not follow the Islamic ideology. As you mentioned, it followed a secular ideology of Baathism. Secondly, Bashar al-Assad unfortunately fell for the promises that the Arabian rulers made to him. And those were that "instead of fighting, what you should do is you should let us build Syria for you. We will give you money and you should not put up a fight." Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia were involved.

Secondly, because of the sanctions that the US had imposed upon Syria, obviously Syria was not able to get help from anywhere except from the Islamic Republic of Iran and from Russia. And Syria's productive areas, its oil fields, its rivers, and its agricultural lands were controlled by the Americans, and they still control them illegally in northeast Syria.

And so the Syrian government was not even getting any revenues from its own resources. Now, the conspiracy against Syria had started as far back as 2005 when the Syrian army was ordered to leave Lebanon after the assassination of Rafiq Hariri, who was the president of Lebanon.

A false flag assassination, I believe.

Exactly. Absolutely a false flag. And it was blamed on the Syrian army. The Syrian army had nothing to do with it. In fact, there is strong indication that the Zionists were involved in that. And of course, they achieved their objective of getting the Syrian army evicted from Lebanon.

But in particular, since when these various sort of uprisings started in the West Asian region that is otherwise called the Middle East, it's interesting to note that among the regimes that fell or the rulers that fell, none of the monarchies, none of the kings fell. It started in Tunisia with Zainul Abidin bin Ali. Then it came to Egypt, Husni Mubarak. Then it went to Libya where Muammar Gaddafi was overthrown. He was lynched publicly. The president of Yemen, Ali Abdullah Saleh, was overthrown.

The uprising in Syria started in March of 2011. But because of the help that Iran, Hezbollah, and Russia provided, the Syrian government was able to withstand that.

But at the same time, there were literally tens of thousands of mercenaries that were rushed into Syria to fight against the Syrian army. With the help of Syria's friends, they held that front. But during the last days before the Syrian government was overthrown, both Iran and Russia had offered to Syria that they are willing to help with their own forces.

But unfortunately, Bashar al-Assad basically, as I said, fell for the promises of the Arabian monarchs. He felt that "perhaps these Arabian monarchs would be able to help me rebuild my country." NATO also misled him by telling him that "if you align with us and do not get more deeply involved with Iran and Russia, then we will remove the sanctions and that you will be able to rebuild your country."

And of course, you know, as far as the Syrian army was concerned, it was badly demoralized. They were not getting paid much. In fact, maybe five to seven dollars a month. The Syrian generals were all bribed by these Arab rulers as well as by Turkey. The money was coming from the CIA and of course the Arab regimes. So in other words, the Syrian army really had no motivation to fight because they had been at war for years. It was a conscript army, with lack of motivation and very, very poor conditions. Their equipment was all rusted. They didn't even have enough shells for their tanks, et cetera. So in that sense, basically, Syria was set up for a fall.

And the choices that Bashar al-Assad made were the kinds of choices that really brought down his regime. I do not hold any brief for Bashar al-Assad, but unfortunately, what has happened is that the people that have taken over are publicly declaring that "we don't want to have any conflict with Israel. We want to live in peace with Israel, even though Israel has occupied large chunks of Syrian territory in the south and there is every likelihood that Israeli forces will not withdraw from Syria."

In the north, Turkey will take Aleppo province because that was the original province from where the Ottoman Empire started. And then you have the most productive area of Syria in the northeast where the Kurds are located. And unfortunately, the Kurds throughout history have played a very, very devious role in terms of aligning themselves with the Zionists and the imperialists. They are used by these external forces and they're not going to benefit the Kurdish people. And yet they are foolish enough to fall for this and allow themselves to be manipulated by these external forces.

So for all practical purposes, unfortunately today, Syria as a country has disappeared. It's the first time in history that Syria as a country has disappeared, although it is a very, very long history. Even before Islam, Syria had a very noble existence.

But let's see how it evolves. I personally think that in the not too distant future the Syrian people themselves will not tolerate the kinds of thugs that have been imposed in power in Syria and they will not tolerate Zionist occupation of their country.

But what has happened is a major setback not only for the resistance front but also for the Syrian people. They would pay a very heavy price for liberating their country from the clutches of the Zionists and the imperialists.

But to come back to the original point that as far as the resistance front is concerned, they cannot play it on the back foot. They have to come forward. They have to take on the initiative. I personally feel at this time that I think as far as the Islamic Republic of Iran is concerned, that it should now abandon its policy of not acquiring nuclear weapons. I think Iran should proceed with acquiring nuclear weapons, not to threaten anybody, but to use it as a deterrent against Zionist blackmail and American blackmail—to make it clear to them that "if you attack us, if you target our nuclear facilities, then we are going to target your nuclear facilities, your chemical weapons facilities, and it's not going to be smooth sailing for you either."

And I think the Zionists have a lot more to lose because they live in such compact area. If the Damona nuclear reactor is attacked by 100 or so missiles, if Haifa is targeted where Israel's chemical weapons factories are, I think that will basically wipe out the total population of Haifa with poisonous gases, et cetera.

So I think that the Islamic Republic should now go on the front foot. Declare it, that they're going to abandon their policy of not acquiring nuclear weapons and tell everybody that if you attack us, we're going to go after you. And that's the only way that they will be able to achieve the objectives that they have set out to achieve…

  • Another Year of Genocide?!

Rumble link Bitchute link False Flag Weekly News link

    Excerpt:

Kevin Barrett: Here’s our Happy New Year message. Let's make it a happier year than the last crappy year.

And then the big question is, will it be another year of genocide? Jonathan Cook is appalled as all of these massively pro-Zionist human rights groups, these totally Western-controlled human rights groups—even they have to admit that this is just total obscene genocide. Mike, is this ever going to end?

    E. Michael Jones: Why are we starting on a note like this? We've been doing this for over a year now. It's really upsetting. Because we're calling basically the fundamental values of humanity into question here. This is what the Israeli genocide is doing. Is there a fundamental basis that we share under God which means that He is the creator and he created laws by which we are to operate, which most people know as the Ten Commandments. Does that apply to the entire human race? Or is there a Jewish exception? Can the Jews do anything they want? Can they kill you if they don't like what you say?

In countries like the United States, it turns into other types of warfare, like deplatforming, which you have just experienced. But the principle remains that if the Jew doesn't like what you were saying, he can do anything to destroy your life, including the physical murder of you or anyone else. That's the fundamental (problem).

So we enter 2000, the new year, with that question unresolved. It's still unresolved. Which way are we going to go? Which way is humanity going to go?

  • Top Ten "Life Hacks" for a Better 2025

Help! Genocidal Zionist Stripe deplatformed me so I can’t get paid through Substack. Here is the monthly workaround for January 2025: http://spot.fund/51krmzsc Better yet, offer a monthly or annual donation HERE.

    Life Hacks for 2025

    1. Invest wisely in your Substacks. Which ones are consistently putting out good stuff? Which are the most courageous and/or have the most integrity and/or can occasionally offer comic relief? And which of those are run by non-super-famous people who could actually use your help? Plugs: I’m impressed by the consistency and quality of Oliver Boyd-Barrett, no relation, and greatly appreciate the work of Laurent Guyenot, Linh Dinh, Laura, Jonathan Cook, and various others I apologize for leaving out.

But there is only one Substack, that I know of, that publishes almost daily, offers all its content free to everybody, and does not accept money through evil, genocidal Stripe. (Hint hint.)

    2. Don’t doomscroll—watch False Flag Weekly News instead! Why waste time subjecting yourself to random blasts of depressing chaos? We do that so you don’t have to! Watch FFWN for one hour each week and you’ll understand what’s really going on and how bad it really is and why you’re better off doing fun and/or productive things throughout the rest of the week.

    3. Feed your cat sardines. But make sure your cat is willing to share them with you. That way you’ll get the nutritional benefit of fish oil, protein, calcium, and other good things. And you’ll also have a happy, healthy cat. Here in Morocco fresh sardines are about 50 cents a pound, and you can get a big plate of them roasted for under $2. But wherever you are, whether or not you even have a cat, canned sardines are a nutritional bargain and taste alright with green onions and cream cheese. (This has been a public service message from the Moroccan Sardine Council and its spokesfeline, Muse the Cat.)

    4. Speaking of nutrition…If you can stand to lose a few pounds like I can, try eating just one meal a day. Here’s what’s been working for me: Instead of breakfast, I sip blended green tea with coconut oil on and off throughout the morning and early afternoon. For some reason (ketosis?) that satisfies my hunger. I take my only daily meal circa mid to late afternoon. This approach is much cheaper and healthier than Ozempic. If it works for me, subjected to much temptation by a wife who is an amazing cook, it can work for anybody.

    5. Develop an exercise habit. Ideally it should be something you like doing. (Having lost a few pounds I can now run miles on the beach and then swim off the sweat.)

    6. Do deep relaxation meditation, preferably while focusing on what we theists call God, though I realize people from other traditions and backgrounds call He/She/It various things in various languages. When I do the five-times-daily salat prayer, I focus hard on God and get into a state that’s almost like falling asleep. (Fortunately I haven’t yet collapsed into complete unconsciousness during the Friday congregational prayer.) And I also have put together a 20 minute binaural beat mediation tape featuring a recorded chant of the 99 names of God. Email me at truthjihad(at)gmail if you want to try it.

    7. Hang out, watch people, converse. Linh Dinh spends his life in cafés doing that, and he’s still going strong despite many decades of ignoring the kind of advice I just gave you about nutrition and exercise and meditation.

    8. Cultivate spontaneity. After my wife yelled at me that I was a typical control-freak Westerner, I realized she was right, loosened up, and bought us both one way tickets to a foreign land. We will have to get back by bus, train, ferry, hitchhiking, swimming…whatever, whenever. If we end up stranded in some weird unforeseeable situation or place, it will serve us both right. Especially her.

    9. Deny the Holocaust. Scientific studies show that Holocaust deniers are happier, healthier, and better looking than non-deniers. Holocaust denial can help you lose weight (especially the oppressive weight of imposed ideologies) and help you find real friends (by alienating all your fake friends so you’ll know who the real ones are). What’s more, Chinese astrology tells us that Holocaust denial is especially auspicious in years named after reptiles, such as this year, the Year of the Dragon, and next year, the Year of the Wood Snake. So don’t delay—deny the Holocaust today!

    10) If you are a Zionist, maybe even if you aren’t, grow a freaking sense of humor! It works wonders against self-importance, narcissism, fanaticism, and other ills that are characteristic of, but not limited to, Zionists. It can also help you endure the world’s insanity. So if you’re sitting in a cubicle in Tel Aviv being paid to read this, it would behoove you to fall out of your chair and roll around on the ground laughing at yourself.

Okay, those are my top ten life hacks for 2025. If you don’t want me to start writing this kind of schlock for a living, or—even worse—become a maker of cat videos, then PLEASE support this wonderful but Stripe-deplatformed Substack!

Once again: Here is the monthly workaround for January 2025: http://spot.fund/51krmzsc Better yet, offer a monthly or annual donation HERE.

  • Oliver Boyd Barrett on “Sinking Russian Ships, Propping Up Bankrupt Losers and Supporting Genocide. Your West This Christmas.”

    Rumble link Bitchute link

Communications professor Oliver Boyd Barrett ponders “Sinking Russian Ships, Propping Up Bankrupt Losers and Supporting Genocide. Your West This Christmas.”

    Excerpt:

Kevin Barrett: So it looks like we might survive to see another year after that was a dubious prospect for a while there. But where do we even start with the way this geopolitical crisis is going way off the rails with grossly irresponsible behavior from the Western side? And what many would see is inadequate ripostes from the pro-multilateralism and pro-multipolar world side? I know your latest article started with that mention of these mysteriously sinking Russian defense-linked cargo ships Are we in a war of vandalism? Communications cables just got cut again and they're blaming Russia. And of course, the Nord Stream pipeline was blown up by Biden and company. And now Russian ships are mysteriously sinking. Where is this all going?

    -

Oliver Boyd-Barrett: This is a new wave of escalation with the West accusing Russian and Chinese ships of putting out cable links between Estonia and Finland. I'm not quite sure and I haven't seen any really convincing assessment yet of the actual damage that ripping up these cables is alleged to have done. My understanding about the internet at least is that it is constructed, the infrastructure of the internet is built precisely in order to protect internet communication from specific attacks on specific locations. So I think that the issue of the cables being dragged up by a ship's anchors, I believe the story is, is not totally implausible, although one wonders why these kinds of instances haven't happened more frequently. And I find it difficult to imagine that ships would deliberately even be capable of identifying and then using anchors to pull these cables up. I'm even surprised that the Baltic Sea is not sufficiently deep to make it impossible for this kind of accident to occur. So in brief, Kevin, I'm very skeptical about these stories. But I'm open to persuasion and I hope that we'll see some firmer evidence in support or at least evidence that would allow us to perhaps to dismiss these stories.

More credible, although we're still lacking in hard evidence, are stories to do with the sinking of Russian cargo ships, And at least in one case, and I suspect in more cases, these were tankers carrying alleged to be carrying Russian oil to European destinations, but skirting the sanctions regime against Russian oil and gas exports imposed by the European Union.

So we haven't seen this phenomenon before, particularly in the Mediterranean, and also in the Black Sea.. That is, I think, alarming. So it's very likely to be a new wave of escalation that has to do with direct attacks on infrastructure, whose ultimate aim is to further cut infrastructural links between Russia and the West.
