In order to get spiritual life, something needs to take place in our personal experience that Jesus calls being born again. Just being alive physically does not necessarily mean we're alive spiritually. In fact, the bible says we're not alive spiritually.

In order to get spiritual life, something needs to take place in our personal experience that Jesus calls being "born again". Just being alive physically does not necessarily mean we're alive spiritually. In fact, the bible says we're not alive spiritually!

Repentance involves an owning of wherever we fall short. Wherever it is, when we own it and we confess it and we transform our lives by asking for God's help, that's when we're really repenting and that's when we're free.

In a very simple way, Jesus gave a comprehensive statement about His teaching. Matthew 4:17 says, "and then on Jesus began to preach, repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near."

We need to go back and review some of the things God has done for our lives. We need to celebrate the things God has done for this church.

A spiritual leader is someone who knows where God is taking them and is able to motivate others to go there with him.

For some of us, we need to give our lives to Christ! That's what we need to do! The bible says, "if you will confess with your mouth Jesus is lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved".

Daniel was a hero because he experienced God even in the midst of pressure, opposition and challenge. Daniel was true to his commitment to his God!

We need to come to a place in our life where like Elisha, we ask for a double portion of the spirit. We fully surrender our lives and ask God to do something by the work of His Holy Spirit.

Elisha wanted more. He prayed for a double portion of the spirit. I am convinced that the reason he did miracles, counseled kings, spoke the word of God and the reason he was used by God in his generation was because he asked for a double portion of God's spirit.
