On today’s episode, Bob takes you behind the scenes of the program, and shares some of the vision he has going forward, and also some of the opportunity both in Shortwave Radio and an increased online presence. On the second half, Bob challenges our thinking on how we perceive the events that happened between Palm Sunday and Easter during the time of Christ.

In the fall of 1974, a song by Harry Chapin was released and became his only Number One hit. The song, “Cat’s in the Cradle” is a haunting song about how parents, in this case the father, can get so wrapped up in their life and career they become distant to their own children. Chapin said the song was about his own relationship with his son, Josh, admitting, "Frankly, this song scares me to death. Today, it is worse than in 1974, and with the isolation of the pandemic, even worse for many children. Between video games and an alternate reality in the Internet, there is a difficult time ahead.

We have learned over the past year that Politics, Fear, Division, and Dishonesty have been employed to divide us and control us in ways we never dreamed possible. Families impacted, and children damaged by our insane response to a virus. Too many look for their hope in politics. Even in Jesus time the Children of Israel looked at Jesus for a political solution, never realizing his mission was not about politics, but salvation. We need to find our solution in things above.

During this past week Bob has been sharing his thoughts on how we, as Christians, should quietly separate ourselves from the things of this world, and develop our own media platforms, podcasts, connected community, and answering the call that each of us has for our work in God’s Kingdom. On this episode Bob gives more tangible information on how we prepare for the difficult times ahead, and what is truly important.

On today’s edition of the program, Bob looks at some of the recent news headlines and how fast people got the story line wrong in pursuing a false narrative or political agenda. Bob shares how increasingly hard it is to find accurate information with our biased mainstream media, and how even “Alternative” news sites can often end up being sources of false and damaging information, hurting the credibility of those sharing such information.  Let this verse from Philippians 4:8 be our guide. “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Bob makes it clear that we need to exercise caution in the information we share.

In Galatians 6 verse 10 Saint Paul writes “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” As the world marches to a date with destiny all Christians have the responsibility to help spread the good news, and help our fellow Christians be ready for the turbulent times ahead. Even if this is not “The Great Tribulation,” like many times in the past 2000 years, we (and perhaps for the first time in the United States) are most likely at least coming into a time of increased tribulation and Christian persecution. Are you ready to do you part? Is God calling you?

Yesterday Bob started sharing some important things with the entire audience of this radio show and podcast. This program must be more than just a daily summation of the “bad news” of our day and times, perhaps a quick update of our times, but more important, it must be what our God given tasks and options are. Today Bob begins to share where God is leading “Truth 2 Ponder.” It is easy to find and rant about all the problems in this world today and many radio programs, podcasts, websites, and video bloggers do just that, however, is that enough? While sharing news and information is important, it is even more important to share solutions, encouragement, and what God’s Word has to say on many issues.

Bob opens with the question “What fills your mind?” How much time do we spend with negative news, the filth and lies of the world, “The Daily News,” and Social Media? Probably more than most of us would want to admit. Today, Bob shares some serious thoughts about how to balance our time, and how to be more effective agents of change in a world that seems to have gone insane.

Today Bob picks up on where he left off yesterday with a few words about what has been revealed in the State of Georgia. As many people may know, Bob has had a deep relationship with Georgia since 1975 and spends part of his time there. It is time for the full light of truth to be shone on this state, as it should be on a few others. On the second half of the program Bob changes direction on something that has been stirring inside of him for a while regarding both his ministry and this radio program and podcast.
