Better than a Hallmark movie!

Well, in our opinion, anyway.

Join us for a walk down memory lane as we share our love story.

Chuckle together with us through our journey of how we met, became friends, dated, got engaged, and ultimately married.

The cuteness factor just may be off the charts!

As we celebrated 12 years of marriage, we hope our story will encourage singles to seek God's will for their future and couples to be dearest friends.

This episode was the kick start to a series of episodes about marriage and family.

A Biblical Definition of Divorce

The Biblical Grounds for Divorce

When a distressed woman wrote to Scottish Pastor Alistair Begg about how to handle her son's "transgender wedding," he counseled her to attend it and bring a wedding gift--as long as her son knows that she doesn't affirm this unbiblical relationship.

Over four months after Dr. Begg mentioned this in an interview the Christian sphere on the Internet exploded, calling him to repent. Begg doubled down that his advice was only specific to a difficult situation.

The controversy has recently cost him radio networks and planned speaking engagements in conferences.

While I strongly disagree with Begg's advice and pray that he will reconsider, I also advise fellow Christians not to resort to "cancel culture." As the Apostle Paul says, "Speak the truth in love."

With the unsealed information coming out about the mysterious trafficking criminal Jeffrey Epstein, Chelsea and I are doing a series about his life and effects.

This episode is part 2 and covers Epstein's legal issues and court cases that kept the depth of his depravity sealed for over a decade. Once the house of cards fell, Epstein found himself in prison for a few months until his mysterious death.

So, the World Economic Forum (WEF) met again at their luxurious resort in the alpines at Davos, Switzerland. Their theme was "Rebuilding trust in the future."

In this episode we look briefly at how the WEF began and how their major agendas include promoting "stakeholder capitalism" and global cooperation in the "Fourth Industrial Revolution."

Next, we see three hypocrisies with the messages and lifestyles of the Davos elites:

1. "rebuilding trust"
2. using "escort services"
3. environmental footprint

Finally, the eccentric and intelligent new president of Argentina Javier Milei crashed the party by giving attendees and viewers a warning that the West is in danger and that the WEF's agendas are a form of socialism and lead to poverty.

With the complaints about redacted documents leading to starting this new year with unsealing names in a Jeffrey Epstein case, Chelsea and I talk about the practice of redactions.

A lot of sensitive information must be redacted for the public to access court filings without endangering innocent people. But, can people and entities with power go too far?

Are we seeing a lot of excessive redactions to protect the guilty rather than the innocent?

The Bible teaches about divine redactions for those who believe the gospel. The finally wicked, however, will face the greatest unsealing of information in history!

Charles Dickens' timeless tale A Christmas Carol endures for good reason! Its lessons in redemption, charity, and "Christmas spirit" tug at the heartstrings with lighthearted bluster and a bit of spookiness.

Chelsea and I look at some highlights of the life of Charles Dickens that inspired the social themes and characters in his fiction.

We then see what elements of Christianity are in the original story that are lost in modern adaptations.

While we're counting down the days until Christmas let's reflect on the One Whom it's all about with Isaiah 9:6.

This verse is a wealth of splendor about the child who is born and given who will bear the kingdom on his shoulder forever. Let's see what the phrase "mighty God" (el-gibbor) tells us about this promised ruler.

We will see how the Jehovah's Witnesses and how a Muslim try to explain away who the Messiah of Isaiah 9:6 is. Isaiah 10:21 gives us a clue to His identity!

It's that time of year again! Yes, the Christmas season is upon us, but that's not the only season. Flu season descended on the family this week. That also unexpectedly triggered another season: "episode REWIND season."

In this REWIND episode, Scott Distler, pastor of Gaylord E-Free Church joins me to talk about his book The Cave: When Ministry Becomes Misery.

Pastor Scott shares his testimony of how his apparent ministry success quickly turned into misery through betrayal.

After the prophet Elijah scored a miraculous victory against the prophets of Baal, he soon found himself hiding in a cave asking God to end his life.

This "cave" experience is what Pastor Scott wants to help us recognize and endure with humility and faith.

Scott Distler

Scott Distler is the lead pastor at Gaylord E-Free Church (a multi-campus church with campuses in Gaylord and Sault, Michigan). He holds a Pastoral Ministries degree and a Masters in Religion from Liberty University. Scott has served a role of pastor in Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and now Michigan.
