We bring back one of our good good buddies, Brian Miller, because - well - he sent us a box of snacks! It’s a Try This At Home Show first, where Teeg & Ryan aren’t the ones sending the candy. Brian half delights and half tortures us with his picks, but there’s never been a show with better prep. Brian’s got all the backstory, and some of these stories are pretty amazing.

Jeremy Sands could be considered one of the founding members of the “Try This Tribe.” A friend for over 20 years to Teeg, Ryan and Michelle, the four of them recount some bygone mishaps, like Jer’s concussion or an ill-fated debacle in Paris that led to performing on a train platform.

Teeg keeps today’s show all in the family by inviting his wife, Amy, on as our guest. Aside from being a delightful lady, Amy is also the “Custom Coloring Mom,” an artist who draws coloring sheets for kids based upon things they’d like. She videos herself doing the drawings, and then the kid gets to watch the page go from blank paper to the coloring sheet that they get to color in. Consider it a modern-day Bob Ross, with more interactivity.

Teeg had a chance to join his colleagues and dear friends – both of whom have had huge physical transformations by NOT eating a lot of candy (and by doing a ton of Crossfit). These adventurers have traveled the world and have led lives of adventure. Nanette as a world class skydiver, with over 9,000 jumps to her name (and a few world records) and Matthew as a mountaineering guide, rangemaster for the Department of Defense, and much more. Teeg sat down in front of a camera with them in Dallas, Texas to work through some Twizzlers Bites, Hershey’s Cookie Crunch, x and x – plus to hear the tales of being caught with a firearm by TSA and BASE jumping off of a radio tower while suffering food poisoning.

Ryan, Teeg & Michelle are trying to get the hang of this – they’ve got eating candy down to a science, but pulling together a podcast about it is something else altogether. To help dial it in, they enlisted the help of Brian Miller. A college buddy who was also part of launching Waldorf College’s student radio station, 91.9 FM KZOW, back in the day, he’s guaranteed to make anything (everything) more fun.
