A massive 8.8 earthquake off Russia's Kamchatka Peninsula triggered tsunami alerts for Hawaii, Alaska, and the U.S. West Coast. Waves up to 5.7 feet hit Hawaii; Crescent City, CA saw 3.6 feet. Evacuations were ordered, then lifted.
